I'm a newbie when it comes to RBAs and was hoping that a veteran vaper out there could help me out. I've never owned one and have never seen one set up in person, only ones that I've seen set up on youtube vids. I pretty much need a full rundown on how they work and how to set one up, particularly bottom feeding RBAs. If someone out there could skype with me and give me a tutorial, I would be eternally grateful.

I would say there are many more side air fed rbas, but bottom fed rbas are becoming more and more popular. Waddya got for a mod and which rba are you looking at? I much prefer the rbas with hole on the side but if you have committed yourself to a bottom fed mod look into Mark Bugs gear on Cloudninevapeing.com Good luck, daze PS, If you want to experiment with a side air intake which feeds the air right under the coil, check out the smoktek Octopus, it comes in several colors and also SS.
not super set on anything really. Just picked up an Nzonic V3 and feel as if i'm not taking it anywhere near it's full potential with standard carto tanks. I was looking a the Nimbus because i can get one fairly cheap, but i'm not a fan of dripping. Genesis style tanks are something i am definitely gravitating towards, I just have no idea how to set one up.
And I'm the other way around, I hate side holes. Course I also didn't like 901 atomizers, so I guess it's only natural that I don't like RBA's that are based on the same concept. Even tho' I have and use tanks, I find that I throw away as much juice as I vape with them because of the juice becoming contaminated with half burned juice leaching back into the tank. So far the only RBA's that I really do like are the A7 and A7 Mini which are strictly drippers with no tank and no side hole. But, that's fine with me because I've been using dripping atties for a long time anyway.
What I'm trying to say with all that is RBA is a rather generic term, and there are many different kinds of RBA's to choose from. Without knowing what you want from your RBA, and how you intend to use it, it's difficult to say which one would be best for you, or how to set it up. We're all a little different, and we all like what we like.

Thanks. It took me a half hour of bumbling around ECF before I finally found your post, and what the heck RBA is an abbreviation for. Now I can relax in the knowledge no Earthshattering new development in vaping has passed me by.
But, shouldn't it be RAS instead of RBA? LOL This community certainly loves to abbreviate things.

The link to the Rebuildable sub-forum is a good place to spend some time, although to a beginner all the information will likely be overwhelming.
The most useful video that I saw when I started with my AGA T2 was watching the demo tutorial video that Zen did for Provape for the Z Atty Pro. What he instructs would be relevant to any Genesis-style RBA. It's long, but it is detailed and well shot and easy to understand.
PBusardo also did a couple of lengthly but highly detailed videos on the AGA T. Look up on YouTube or his channel.

I recommend the RSST then. It's beginner friendly and inexpensive. Some will suggest that you should start out on a more difficult RBA to learn how to do it the correct way but I think that's just silly. Set up a simple one, decide if you like it, and then move on to the harder stuff. The AGA-T2 is another good one but can be an exercise in frustration for a beginner.

Just my thoughts, but when I first started with RBA's (or RDA for rebuildable dripping atomizer) the IGO-L was (and still is) great as it is pretty simple, large, and cheap. The only con I can really give it is that the coil connections are to a post screw vs. a hole in the post but that is all. So I got some resistance wire and silica wick and had a go at it..
I had gotten my ProVari at this time so I could check Ohm's and had the security of safety protections of the device. I had done a ton of reading here on ECF ^^above advice taken^^ and watched a lot of videos. Had a "safe vaping chart", some basic tools, and a curiosity. It worked wonders for me and I have never gone back to disposable attachments.
Start with easy and learn as you go, my advise is to not get complex systems but rather try simple inexpensive ones. See if you like it and want to one up yourself (or others
). Every time I think I am the cat's meow someone here does it better 
so I go back to tinkering hoping to have something to add..
