Hello! I am fairly new to vaping (about 3ish weeks or so) and really think I will like it. Right now am using Luci e-cigs and not really happy with their product: weak flavor, little to no throat hit, small amounts of vapor. Did try refilling the carts myself and that was marginally better.... but now i think i need to just break down and buy a different system.

Am looking for something which I can refill myself, good throat hit, lots of exhaled vapor. Haven't really made up my mind on the rechargeable vs. disposable battery yet. I generally like to vape while in my car so don't know about dripping directly onto the atty... I bought the Luci because I liked the look but I think I am ready to try some of the other options out there and for some reason having a difficult time researching what my options are. What are your favorites? What do you recommend? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hi, and welcome to ECF. My favorite, and I'm sure many will agree, is the eGo. Great battery life, good vapor and throat hit. If you don't need the long battery life of the eGo, then a 510 or KR808 would fit the bill. They're a bit less expensive and are solid units too. You can get a KR8 kit for around $30, same for the 510, an eGo kit will usually run around $50 unless you can find a special somewhere. I'm sure others will give their opinions shortly.

I started out on a Joye 510 from cignot.com ($35 no box kit) and really liked it. Refillable and good vapor production. Battery life is 2-3 hrs though. I decided to step it up and got a Riva last week. Similiar to the eGo in the previous post with a slightly bigger battery. Battery is good for 10-11 hrs. Refillable as well and awesome vapor. I got mine from liberty-flights.com for $30 but last I checked they were still waiting for a new shipment or you can go to vaporjunction.com and get it for $39 this week. He's running a customer appreciation week with 20% off. (use code: customer20). It's all about finding the right ecig for you. Good luck!

Also, the ego comes in many cool colors, and for the extra 25 bucks or so, the batteries will last 5-8 hours depending on use, and it comes with an extra battery. Plus, I guarantee you that you will want to order extra batteries if you do a smaller 510. I am pretty sure the KR8 lasts longer than a standard 510 battery, but not near as long as the ego.

Also, if a slight cost is not a problem, I have read on here that Cartomizers work great, with great flavor (which is a cartridge with a built in atty, meant to be disposable) I have not tried them yet, but am about ready to order a dozen or so.

Don't drip and drive! I'm being funny and serious at the same time here. I wouldn't suggest disposable batteries. Get rechargeable and you'll be much happier in the long run. I also like to vape while driving (or is that stuck in traffic?) I'm considering getting an adapter for my 510 PT so I don't have to worry about having enough power to get me home. My PT is also my regular vape at home because I'm in front of my computer all the time. We'll see if that changes once my eGo kit gets here. I wish I could vape openly at work. That would be awesome!

I just recently Started Vaping so i haven't tried everything but I've vaped on a standard 510 and my Ego/Tornado. I have to say i Love my Tornado its awesome Battery life is excellent taste is great, the standard 510s are good too but there battery life is lacking. As far as Vapor Production goes both machines perform well and if your really interested in plumes of vapor then i would suggest some Glycerin/VG mixed with the juice.

I also suggest the eGo. I have a Blu (now backup), 510 and eGo. I mostly use the eGo. I also use the 5v pass through from Mad Vapes. I use it in the car, at the office and at home. I just received (last Wednesday) some of the new CE2 cartomizers. I LOVE the cartomizers on the eGo! My eGo battery lasts 8 to 10 hours of pretty continuous vaping when I am out and about. I tend to switch between my 2 eGo setups (since I will vape until the atty is pretty hot) and I like several flavors.

We took our eGo's camping over Labor Day weekend and had no problems with the battery running out. We do camp in a trailer and had access to chargers so would charge overnight.

Hope that helps.

I went with the starter kit from Smoketip.com Life time warrenty on the battery's . had to get a couple extra batterys because because I'm on the road all day. good throat hit. Good vapor. and I also went with the marlb. carto's. I use one and keep topping it off with marlb. ejuice untill it is fried. each carto lasts me about 4-5 days of heavy use. As GL'rs say Good Luck!
