I see a TON of options, but really not sure what to go with. I currently am still using my Mistic and have already ordered fluid for refilling. I am happy with how this works, but after lurking here I think I might be missing out on a better experience. Here is what I am looking for.

COST; no surprise here, I want it as low as possible.

AESTHETICS; I'm a tinkerer. I would like something I can modify down the road.

VAPOR; I enjoy a lot of it.

THROAT HIT; noticeable, but not killer. I am looking for something similar to a Marlboro light.

SIZE; I enjoy the size and shape of my Mistic, would like something shorter but not wanting something bulky. I need something I can keep in my pocket and not worry about.

BATTERY LIFE; Decent, I recharge nightly.

REFILL; Easy to refill.

CAPACITY: the Mistic cartridges are lasting me about a day and a few hours.

I think that covers it. Thanks for your input in advance, and I know there are a thousand ways to go with this. Just looking for some good directions!

I will tell you what most vets will tell newbies(and are rarely believed)...the closer to a ciggy it looks, the crappier the performance is...the least I would recommend to anyone is the Riva510 along with some low resistance(LR) cartos(cartomizers) from liberty-flights.com ...even better would be the KGO kits from hoosierecigsupply.com(amongst others) along with some LR cartomizers and be ahead of the game and much happier than someone disappointed with a ciggy sized PV...the choice is yours..........

I've been on the Liberty site looking at the Riva510, but, and I loathe admitting this, when I scroll down the page and see all the different options, my head starts spinning, I get frustrated, and I come back here, to look for guidance.

I feel as if I need to walk into a shop, consult with someone, and have them explain the options to me, AND pretty much lay out what I need. To which I would have no problem handing over my plastic and pay for the entire lot. But there isn't a shop in my area (unless I drive 80 miles.)

As a newbie, I suspect the reason people buy the kits sold in malls, pharmacy's and 7-11's is because they are an all in one, easy peasy set up. But when one realizes that they are going to outgrow the training period quickly, or that might not meet your needs, they research long term E-Cigs. (or are they called PV's?)

Call me impatient, I just wish there were "Vapor Consultants" who would link me to every single piece in this puzzle, and I'll pay for the package.

Lastly, am I correct to think that a newbie would be better with prefilled cartridges, but with a unit that can take both pre-filled and refillable?

Cripes, I feel like a child that is about to bursts into tears, because they can't find a square hole for the square peg in their hand..

Sorry gang, I don't mean to whine. You guys are quite knowledgeable and freely share that knowledge. I'm just frustrated and feeling like an imbecile.

I hate menthol, so they would be wasted on me..
you and many others, it's one of those things, other's opinions may differ but cartridges are trash IMO, so not even considered (thrown away immediately before poppin' on a boge LR.)
The kgo kits are a manaual battery (push button.) This is good for me personally as I never have to worry about juice getting into the battery if I overfill. Autos have a hole that air passes thru to activate the switch, nice sometimes, but generally not needed

hi KarmicOne & welcome to ECF:)..there are so many brand of e-cig one can choose and recommend to others..but since i have changeover to vapping now 9th months and peruse ECF daily..i get to know quite a bit on gadgets, forget the brand look for the most common factor in the device..it is the 510 threading(atomizer, cartomizer)this is important as many attachment make to use 510 threading rather than others...then the actual batteries..from small to pipe like gadget and batteries has change with multifunction type..so look at variable voltage batteries as this will save U the maths needed with ohms in cartomizer or atomizer, resistance from 1.5 ohms to 3 ohms can be adjusted and use if U got the variable voltage batteries..there are commercial type available like the VV eGo or the lavatube ..shop around for the best deal as a starter kit..good luck i hope i make it clear the advantage in getting a PV(personal vaporizer)..regards mafig ps just make sure U stock with enough e-liquids and spares..i use 3-4 ml and vape through the day non stop with my 650 mAh variable eGo..i have 4 unit of PV in rotational use with diff flavor in each

E-Power 14650 equipped with blue LED switch from Hoosier. Don't buy one with the white LED switch at this time. Comes with single coil Smoktech 2.0 ohm LR XL cartomizers. Also a order a pack of Smoktech single coil 1.7 ohm LR XL cartos. They produce more vapor and warmer vapor than the 2.0 LR.

E-Power From Smok Tech and HECS
