ok so order menthol,koolada,wintergreen,spearment,pineapple and dhill. so I tried the menthol koolada wintergreen spearment combo for menthol flavour and it taste more like a pack of spearment gum.....I also tried the dhill and menthol pineapple witch was ok I guess...any suggestions on any of these flavours for a menthol.

anything with spearmint will taste like spearmint, koolada just gives the cool sensation without any taste. I love the menthol taste give it a try with pineapple, menthol and koolada
I use a combo of Menthol and Creme de Menthe with just a dash of Koolada
All flavors TFA
Sweet Cream 10%
Creme de Menthe 8%
Menthol 2%
Sweetener 4%
Koolada 1%
Makes a nice creamy menthol that I enjoy.

I don't know what brand are your flavorings but...
Try mixing 5ml use the pineapple recommended percentage then add 3 drops of menthol and 2 of koolada that would give your a really fresh fruit vape
My adv for the past year is a combination of fruits with that percentage of menthol/koolada

1.5% menthol

FA flavors are strong, start at 2%.... Plus 1 on the Sgt. Rock recipe also, I have made this about 3 times.....30ml bottles, was not sure about the sweet cream% but it was and is reallllyyyy good!
I'm a 40yr menthol smoker and anything I mixed with spearment, peppermint or wintergreen and menthol always tasted like cheep toothpaste or mouthwash!

I forgot to mention...you can also add 2 to 5 percent TFA Marshmallow to my above recipe to give it more body. I'm currently vaping that mix + 5% Marshmallow and it's quite nice (to me)

I found that if I could control the menthol level instead of relying on a pre-mixed eliquid, I became a much happier camper. Here's how:

I put up a few examples just to show how the price is pretty much the same no matter where you get them from. The general advice is to crush these crystals up and dilute them in a bottle, then add drops from that bottle to your working flavor. However, I'm a bit lazy so I just add a few crystals (3-6 pieces) to my little 15ml bottle of tobacco base flavor, give it a few shakes now an then, and call it a day. If it gets a too strong mentholly towards the end of the week (and it will), I just top off with a tad more tobacco flavor and all is good.
Pineapple is usually a very strong sweet flavor and great on its own. Try it with the DHill but start out lower than you'd think and then increase to taste. There's a chocolate under note to the DHill that the pineapple's sweetness might bring out in a pleasant way. Spearmint is one of those, dip a toothpick in it and then stir your liquid, type of strong flavors that doesn't play well with others without coddling. Adding a few drops of "cotton candy" to the mints and to the menthol will sweeten them up/mute the edges. You may find DHill a bold taste. USA US Red Mix, Cowboy, or MarBull or however the name gets tweeked, may be a good ciggy-tobacco-type choice for you. There is a USA Mix Lights that is a menthol but it is a pretty dry menthol. Diluting it with an equal amount of USA Red turned it into a pretty good menthol as far as pre-mixed goes.
Btw, I don't vape all the time nowadays, but I bought my first packet of those menthol crystals back in 2008, and didn't need another until 2012 - and I'm still working on those.
Don't give up, Spaggy. Switching from cigarettes to vaping is a bit of a learning curve, but there's a lot of great people here who are going to help you thru it. Welcome to ECF
