Ok I'm relatively new to vaping...having only been using a Blu for a few months. However upon the recent discovery that my (OTHER VAPORIZER) looked exactly like a Riva 510, I pulled it out of the box and unscrewed the atomizer to realize it had 510 threading. So lately I've been using my Blu cartos on it with much enjoyment.

However the other day I ordered some of these Mega XL 2.8 ohm cartomizer and some VV ejuice. I just got it today, and the vape coming out of it is HOT, and leaves a hot feeling in my mouth for 10 seconds or so after I smoke it. Did I order cartomizers that were rated too high for the battery?

I don't know enough about this to know if I should have ordered a lower resistance cartomizer or what. I can't test my battery to find out how many mAh it is at the moment, but I can say I'm pretty sure it's whatever the Riva 510 is rebranded.

Any help is appreciated.

Ok well I think I figured out that I didn't have enough liquid in the blueberry cheesecake. I added some more and it seems to be ok. I thought I had enough at first when it started to drip through the bottom of the carto but when I tried it again I got a burnt taste with no vapor. I added some more and it seems to be ok. Maybe the same problem with the other one.

And from what I've read..the liquid does make a difference depending on whether it's PG/VG, as VG should produce a cooler vape. I think I solved the issue.

If you get a volt meter you can also measure your resistance to see if its right.

Yeah I know I could...but not at 2am lol. I am not sure what the issue was actuallly. The wild blue punch doesn't feel like that anymore either and i didn't have to add anymore to the carto. I'm not sure what difference this would make, but when I first started using them they had been in the mailbox all day and the bottles were ice cold. They just felt really harsh at first. Everything seems to be on the up and up.

When using a carto.. You have to make sure it's saturated really well with liquid or you risk burning it and your throat.. Sometimes the thicker liquids take a few minutes to fully soak into the material and will give you that dry, hot hit for the first few minutes.

On a side note, the one you said having a chemical taste to it.. Let it steep up in a cool, dry place for a few days with the cap off and that may improve the flavor :)
