Ok so here i go i am very new to this like teaching a baby how to walk so bare with me please. i was planning on making my first mod this wed conming up on my time off. i planned on making a 5v box mod and i have gone over all the how to's and think i can do this. One problem i have is alot of the stuff i a seeing built, people are using 2 1400 3.0 batts and a 5v reg. what i was planing on using was 2 18350 1200mah batts and a 5v reg is this possible or should i use a smaller volt batt and one can help me out with that would be much appreciatted. the reason i was gonna use those types of batt's is because thats what i have so just planned on building around what i got

Good question, I hope someone answers it for you 'cause I'm interested in possibly buiding something soon too.
Currently have more time than money and it looks like fun.. I've seen some of what others have created and now everything I look at is in danger of being torn apart..I've got an idea or 2 about making a feeder type mod so I'm trying to see where the problems are and try to avoid them..I'm sure someone will come up with a reason why or why not those batts. can be used, and how.. Be sure to post pics when you can..

will do will do. i am ordering stuff to build with even though i don't know about the batt's. and i am just gonna wait to build it till i know bout the regulater and batteires. i figuard if i can get it to work then the housing will be endless and have a few good ideas to start with but.. i;m realy not worried bout the housing thats gonna be the easy part for e. the hard part the electrical i am still working on learning
if you're using a 5V regulator with 3V batts you're not gonna get much time out of it cos once the batts reach like 2.75V or whatever you''ll have to recharge them. the 3.7V battery IS the way to go!
2x 18350's will work fine.
Any two 3.7 volt batteries (I should say paired batts) should work fine.
In addition I run paried 3.2V LiFePO4 14500 batteries on a 5v regulator all the time with no issue. Yes the capacity is lower, but that is well known.
