since i have all these flavors(running low on my favorite juice doesnt hurt LOL) i figured i would do some DIY. had some backwoods strawberry and it was BANGING so i decided to try and make my own. mixed it up, tasted just ok so i added some more flavor, WRONG MOVE so now that is steeping after being thinned out some i figured i would work on another flavor or 2. so here is a list of what i have:

Lorann:
apple
strawberry
cherry
raspberry

Flavor Apprentice:
black cherry
mtn dew
caramel capp
graham cracker
cola
tiramisu
pumpkin spice
whipped cream
maraschino cherry
double choco
toasted marshmallow
vanillin crystals
sweet cream
sweetener

along with assorted mint style flavors

so, what would you make? i have plenty of new, empty bottles as well as plenty of VG and PG.

i also made some cherry with the LA and even at 10-15% it was harsh to say the least.

I usually try my flavors on their own, to get a taste for them, and go from there. My first mix of anything is usually a mil or two using the individual flavors I mixed to try in different ways. That's how I came up with my first couple of flavors.

If I had to suggest something I'd say try your favorite fruit with your favorite of the creams you have, I'm so doing that when I get my fruits in...but I keep about 8 different cream flavors on hand at any given time.

I got 19 new flavours in from FA the other day. Its alot of work testing .... out and mixing. I also use cartos to get the taste i want since i use boge's. So filling up 19 cartos then adjusting the strenghts on all of them, then mixing them together. Took 9 hours to make 2 succesfull recipes :p

And what about cherry coke? If ur into that

for the life of me i cant seem to get anything to taste right. tried the tiramisu and sweet cream as well as the black cherry with a few drops of sweetener and neither were acceptable. even heated them up in the microwave to make them mix easier and meh. these were just 3m batches but still it should have had some flavor.

What precentages were you mixing at? Underflavoring can of course produce too little flavor. However overflavoring can do the same thing. Start at low percentages. Mix a batch at 3%, 6%, 9% and try them.

Ebbry, why in the world are tou testing with cartos? No wonder it took 9 hours. Get a bridgeless atty and a drip tip for testing flavors and prep some plain no flavor pg or vg to flush the atty out between samples. Your mixing session will go wayyyyy faster. I understand if cartos are all you got to use, thats fine but dripping is way faster. I ONLY drip when testing. To me its a hassle any other time.

I'm not a dripper by any means, but I do own both a bridgless LR dripping 510 and 306 that I use only when testing and mixing. 20$ for 2 attys, and they'll probably last me a year lol.

I check ECX for suggestions on flavor percentages, and start there. You can usually get a good idea of where you need to go. I wish I could help with your specific flavors, but I mostly use perfumers apprentice, flavour art, and flavor west; out of those we don't even have flavors with the same names lol.

Sorry, but you should still be able to get some easy samples thrown together, if you can't find anything to go off of I suggest starting at 5% and either add pg/vg if it's too much, or add flavor if it's too weak.

I'm working a 24 today so once i get home in the AM I am going to get some Z's and when i wake up I'm going to start with some small batches of single flavors. It's strange, a few puffs of my strawberry is great then the next few, not so much. Don't know what the problem is. Going to try some apple and also going to stop by walmart and see if they have any new flavors.
