Hi - This is all new to me. I'm a very long time heavy smoker & want to switch to the E-cig if possible.
I have read quite a bit...but there is so much info it's a bit overwhelming & I have a time shortage.

I went to 1st place I found within a reasonable distance to where I live to buy this. It was at a mall kiosk....which I'm sure probably isn't the best place to buy this stuff....but I wanted to try it out.

I bought a kit for $150 called "TATTOO (limited edition) Electronic Cigarette Kit". The online site for them is called www.smokefreeonline.com

Actually - I'm still a bit confused with the kit I bought....although I think I'm using it correctly. But I wrote a note to the Online Site that sells the Kit I bought at the kiosk in the mall & asked them some questions about it.

It is rather long...because I am still a bit confused with all this E-cig paraphernalia that is available & the stuff I need to mimic smoking a real cigarette like a Winston or Pall Mall (I mean as close as u can get to it with the E-cig experience).

I would sure appreciate it if anybody could tell me if this is a company I should use or should I go to some other online E-cig place for what I need or what.

Anyway - here is the note I wrote to them:

Hello - I recently bought one of your products at a mall kisok in Marietta, GA (Perimeter Mall). It is called the "TATTOO (limited edition) Electronic Cigarette Kit".
On your site here the TATTOO kit is either black or gold. Mine doesn't say either. Anyway...I know how it works. I've probably only had it for about 10 days now & haven't been using it much because it is too weak.

I'm not sure if the sales guy there was on top of things. After I decided to buy it...he had to go to a store in the mall to make change for me....plus he didn't have a bag to put it in...so he got one of those form another store too.

After getting change...he still didn't have the right amount...so he asked if I'd take a box of cartridges for the amount of change he was lacking & I said I would. He also told me I could leave the battery in the charger as long as I wanted to....you know....plug it in at night & unplug it when I got up the next day. When I read the manual that came with it says NOT to overcharge the battery.

Anyway....I'm not trying to make the sales guy look bad....he was a nice guy and tried to help me with every question I asked him....& I may not have remembered everything he told me about E-gigs because there is a lot to know when you don't know anything about them at first. I just want to make sure I know all I need to know about this kit.

I know it cost around $150+ with tax.
I just charged the battery until it turned to green....which took about an hour. I took out a new cartridge & slipped it on the atomizer & screwed it in to the battery. I take a hard drag when I use it until the end is glowing brightly for a bit. But when I exhale...there is very little vapor & it also just tastes weak.

I told the guy I was a heavy smoker & needed something strong. Also...when he used one in the mall....he exhaled much more vapor than I...but he told me he smoked menthols...so I think he used a different cartridge or atomizer or both. I have a couple of boxes of the brown colored cartridges with the writing on them TOB (and a capital letter H under the "O" in TOB). Are these the strongest one's that you have?

How long is this atomizer that came with the kit supposed to last? How long is each cartridge supposed to last? How about the battery? I have the white one....& I see on your site it says you are "out of stock" of white one's. I also have the brown cartridges that makes it look like an oversized cigarette. Not that I wanted to buy another battery yet.....but how long will it be before you have them in stock again?

Yea...I just took another drag off of it with the newly recharged battery & a new cartridge & it's weak & doesn't have much vapor.

Hmm....the boxes of cartridges I have are black & have 5....just like the one's on your site. And I guess the letter H under the TOB stands for "High Level" & TOB stands for tobacco...so I might already have your strongest ones. Hmm...thats a bummer.

Do you sell only the one "atomizer" that is on your "Batteries & Atomizers" page?

On your E-liquid page...it says it's the juice to refill an empty or dried out cartridge. It's not talking about the kind of cartridges that came with my kit is it? You probably need a different type of cartridge to use the E-liquid with, right?
It says each cartridge is disposable & contains about 1-2 packs of smokes depending on your habit. And you pull a piece of silicon from each cartridge before you use it.

I just realized I had one other box of 5 cartridges...but this box is white as opposed to black & it has a sticker on it that says Regular with the word "HIGH" under it....& the cartridges are white instead of brown. I guess I must have already tried one of these too. Anyway...I just tried a white one again & it seems to be about the same strength as the brown cartridge.

Hmm....I have one other thing in this kit. It looks like the atomizer but is about twice as big. I get it. This is one of your cartomizers that has a new atomizer contained in each one. Must be...because it screws right into the battery. When I smoke this one....it also seems too weak....althought it may be a little stronger than the cartridges.

Maybe this is what the sales guy used when he demonstrated it....because he said he only smoked menthol & this tastes sorta menthol...so maybe he threw it in.

So I guess "Cartomizers" are like the cartridges that came with your kit....but these are what you get when you want to use E-liquid and keep refilling them. If that is right....then you only sell the kind of cartomizers that have a new atomizer on each one.
Now I'm confused. Maybe the E-liquid you buy is to refill the cartridges that came in the boxes once they are shot. Hmm...but I don't think that is right either.

I guess it looks to me that your company doesn't use cartomizers unless they are the ones that have an atomizer on every one of them, is that right? So now I'm not sure what a regular cartomizer without an atomizer hooked up to it is for. Are these what you use if you don't have the cartridges your company sells & these are filled with the E-liquid & hooked to the atomizer that is hooked to the battery?

OK - this is long enough. I would really appreciate it if you could straighten me out with all the questions or things I'm not sure about which I have included in this note.

Thank You

Again - I would appreciate any comments, suggestions, info, answers, etc. that anyone may have after reading this note I sent to the online company & what I prefaced it with. THANKS,THANKS,THANKS

It's very expensive for what it is. It's really hard to tell what model it is from the pictures but it could be a m40x model (M401/M402/M403). Unfortunately it's not worth $150, that much is true.

"It says each cartridge is disposable & contains about 1-2 packs of smokes depending on your habit." - This is a baseless statement you need to watch out for with ecig sellers. One cartridge is not worth 1-2 packs of cigarettes or it would be dangerous to handle. One cigarette is about 10mg of nicotine and you absorb about 1mg of that. So a 20 cigarette pack is roughly 200mg of nicotine two packs would be 400mg and if that much nicotine packed into a cartridge you'd soon know about it.

As you want "high" or strong nicotine content you want to look for eliquid that's around 24mg. 24mg to 18mg should hit it for you really for what you're asking for. Straight away you can see, that a high content of nicotine for ecigs is nowhere near 400mg.

For what you're asking for, I'd suggest a Volt from smokeless image: Smokeless Image | Only The Best Electronic Cigarette | Starter Kits I own one which you could say makes me biased but I use it on a daily basis and have done for a few months now and have not regretted my purchase in the slightest. You can see on the smokelessimage site the price a small ecig should be. They should not cost $150.

With the volt, you buy the unit (charger, batteries, cartomisers and an optional charging case). Once you've charged the batteries you just screw on a cartomiser and it's ready to go for around 2 hours. You can fill your own cartomisers if you want to but if you're just looking to get into it first, the volt is likely one of the best performing cigarette sized devices out right now and you can simply get prefilled cartomisers with it.

If at all possible to get any sort of refund you should really ask for it I'd say and move on to something that's going to perform better. One thing I should say though is that you'll never achieve a perfect cigarette likeness in an ecig. There is no real cigarette tasting liquid as most of the taste of cigarettes is from burning paper, chemicals and tobacco. You can get close to it but nothing perfect exists and I don't think it'll happen soon. To me and many others it's enough to stop smoking with though.

There's so so many ecigs out there and I'm sure you'll get a ton of suggestions and help from everyone else here. Don't just take my suggestion on a Volt and run with it; I just assumed you wanted a cig sized ecig. If you're ok with bigger sizes or things like that there's a ton of ecigs and there's likely one perfect for you. It's just for a cig sized ecig, I know the volt works very well for its size and recommend it from experience. Avoid the kiosks like the plague and you'll get all the help you need from the awesome members here :)

The Volt is a great kit. Another would be the Vapor4Life kit. Many will suggest a Joye 510 kit. You can get a full kit for a good cheap price from Liberty Flights. Be sure to click on the Discount Code button at the top.

24mg is a good place to start. If you were a really heavy smoker, there are a few vendors that sell a 36mg nicotine option, but I'd try 24mg first.

I don't wanna tell ya, you bought crap because it just might work for you...BUT, if you want a "real" e-cig, inna ciggy sized unit them look at SmokelessImage.com, BloogPlanet.com or Vapor4Life.com...these unit will give you about 1-3hrs of continuous vape time depending on which batt you get...if you would like more solid performance in something the size of a Sharpie or fountain pen, look at the Riva510(30bux/kit, 6-7hrbatts) at Liberty-Flights.com or the Kgo(42bux/kit 10+hrbatts) at Hoosierecigsupply.com...for all these unit there are a zillion juice vendors selling a kazillion flavors...personally, I get mine at BlueMistVaping.com........good luck on your quest...............

It doesn't quite look like M401 or M402 to me (the painted part of the atomizer looks longer than M40x) - and they don't show enough to tell what it is. And it may be nothing identifiable - some Chinese wholesaler models don't fit anything else.

If you post separate pictures of all of the parts showing all threaded ends and measure the diameter of the battery, maybe we can guess what it is, but the site you linked don't a good job of hiding all clues.

All the above are correct - but on the other side, despite its shortfalls you have something that hopefully will give you an insight into another way. No need to get everything perfect first go. Mke the most of it, you can always change things later.

If you come to feel you amde a mistake, no big deal. Every mistake should give you a smile because you get a chance to learn something and be stronger/wiser.

First though, learn what you can from playing with what you have, enjoy it as much as you can, and be sure from all who yell their empathy and concern that there's better and this is no 'end of the world' by any means. Just a first step on the journey; and a first step that must always in some way be the start.

I bought a mall kit too. It was $190 for what I could have bought online for $20. But I made the switch to vaping so it was worth every penny. You'll want to upgrade soon since your ecig isn't satisfying your craves. Gosh, I hope a refund is a possibility.

When you take a pull on your ecig are you taking a long, very slow drag? The slower the better. It probably has a 5 -8 second cutoff. If you stand in front of a mirror and watch the lighted end, when it flashes the cutoff is activated. That's when to stop the drag/pull on it. Pause then repeat.

There are little airholes where the filter-looking part and the battery meet. Cover all but one with your fingers and take a long slow draw. You should get a warmer, more satisfying vape. Cupping your hand over the lighted end helps also. If it works to cover all but one airhole you can put a piece of scotch tape over them so you're not hunting for the holes everytime you vape.

If you're on a very tight budget, I'd suggest this kit. It's skinny like a cigarette and comes with cartomizers you fill with juice. Fill and vape. It's much easier than the atomizer/cartridge you're using. I like this one because it has a long cutoff (12 seconds) and there's no microphone in it to drain your battery.

If you're ok with a Sharpie-sized ecig the KGO kit on that site is fabulous. It's hard-hitting and gives a cigarette-like vape and should last you 6-9 months. It comes with cartridges (they suck). You need cartomizers and juice. They have pre-filled cartomizers in tobacco flavors for 50 cents more if you're not ready to deal with juice. That kit is $42 and you'll need to buy cartomizers and juice. Another 15 to $20. It's the best kit I know of on the market right now.

Liberty Flights has a kit for $12 less. At their site choose Riva Lite Bundle. The batt doesn't last as long and it doesn't hit quite as hard but I truly don't think a new vaper would notice the difference. You'll need cartomizers for that one also and some juice.

Any of those 3 will work. I start friends out with the $27 kit. Dealing with just 2 parts is nice and it looks familiar to them. If you're over the "it has to be the size of a cigarette" feeling, the sharpie-sized other 2 are the best options.

Hang in there. It's worth it. Hope to hear happy vaping stories from you soon.
