I've been vaping mechs mostly and my fav tanks are Genesis style,I'm looking for a box mod not 200w nonsense lol just a simple tc ,say between 30-75 watts I have no expierance with these mods as I went from egos to mechs .although my builds give me full satisfaction,I just wanted to try a box mod with tc,I sub ohm mostly ,my mechs gives me great vape but it's tine to get at least one regulated mod I think :)

You better be careful. Once you go tc 60watts+ you probably will never go back to a mech mod. I was a big mech guy, got my first tc device (evic vtc mini) which is a great starter tc device btw. Now I'm using a vaporshark dna200 and I can never imagine using a non regulated tc device as my all day mod. One thing I would recomend is I'm really really enjoying titanium, I would make sure the device does titanium. There's a few duel 18650 tc devices coming out soon you might wanna hold out for as I find the single 18650 mods don't last long because tc seems to be less efficient then regular power mode.

How about 150 watt nonsense?!?!?!? ;) Sigelei makes the 150 watt TC mod which is good because it uses 2 18650's vs 1 18650 the 75 watt version does. I personally prefer the dual battery vs single. I own the 150 and did my own cotton burn test and it did it's job well on not burning the cotton so that is a great plus. Also, it feels nice on gripping it with the rounded edges. I use mine at 410 F @ 40 joules in temp (titanium- set to 100 F below what you want would be close in temp. if you want 400F set at 300 F) and would only use at around 18-25 watts in power mode. It is just nice to have the extra power if one would like to try it out. Just because a car goes 200 mph, does not mean one should go that speed. ;)There are many other mods that I am sure others have had success using and will recommend. Hope this helps.

all the temp control devices are able to run nickel wire and some are also setup for titanium wire, even fewer are also programmed for stainless steel wires. there is also tc wire such as the NiFe's that would require a device with an adjustable tcr.

i see 3 scenarios:
1) decide which wire(s) you want to use and how deep into tc you want to go before you choose a mod.
2) you could just jump in with both feet and get 1 that can do it all
3) pick 1 an go with whatever wire it supports.

I have 3 DNA 200's a sx mini m class a couple DNA 40's and multiple other TC devices and out of all of them I think the near perfect one would be the evic VTC mini. It's what my wife owns and sometimes I end up taking it to work with me because of the size and ease of use. It's a work horse and as long as you have atleast one extra battery you should be good for the day. They are nice and cheap they got a great screen and are available everywhere. They also are firmware upgrade able. Then if you like it and TC turns out to be your thing you could jump into the DNA200 or the new sx boards that are coming out. Hope you enjoy TC as much as me and many of my friends like it.

My pointer is to avoid ni200. Between stainless steel and titanium, ss is much easier to work with. I'd say get a device that supports ss, and most tc devices out now support ti, so it is pretty easy to avoid ni200... nickel is fickle.

I agree, "nickel is fickle". The device I most commonly use can do all three NI, TI, & SS. I have not attained any TI or SS wire yet, but I am getting more excited by the day to try them all.

I find the NI200 28G wire that I currently have to be a little to soft when I make coils, but it is 28G so I'm not that surprised. Also it can be a little "itchy twitchy" in TC mode. One coil I wrapped actually performs better in Wattage mode than TC, I didn't expect that.

Xcube 2 is a great mod for the money and once you pay a small fee can use titanium and stainless steel, I'm using 430 stainless and getting a very clean tasting vape off it and as simple to work with as anything else. Rx200 is another good mod but doesn't have user TCR yet it is coming but currently set for 304 stainless for the money it's hard to beat I rarely use it above 50 watts.
