Need Tiramisu!! Suggestions for custom?

I am sitting here happily puffing away on my Bananas Foster and was thinking about how much it tastes JUST like the dessert! Now, I need my favorite dessert, Tiramisu! Any ideas? Geoff, have you tried making it yet?

Tiramisu would be lovely....

Basically a tiramisu is an egg and mascarpone cheese "pudding", sponge cake (lady fingers) soaked in amaretto (or brandy) coffee, and maybe some chocolate...

You could mix cheesecake, chocolate, and coffee (heavier on the cheesecake and coffee than chocolate) and have Geoff mix in some Brandy, that might be close. I'm not sure how you would get the "eggy" taste or cake taste tho as a tiramisu shouldn't be made with cream cheese, that's just sacrilegious... I make a mean tiramisu and there's nothing like it in this world...

Somehow Geoff was able to get the cake flavor to come through on the German Chocolate Cake so maybe he knows how.

I have some ideas and I'll be happy to go back to the R&D board, once we've gotten all the people here and trained up. I'm not one to throw something together quick, this takes some consideration and experimentation. If I DO, do a Tiramisu, I wan to it right.

So, give me time, we'll see what I can do.
