I have an eGo-T battery, got it a couple years ago when you had to use the atomizer and carto separately.

Ive been using smoktech eGo mega dual coil cartomizers
I am going through these things constantly. Maybe im not maximizing their potential, but I am spending more that I ever spent on cigarettes.
(yeah i do vape a lot)

So is there a more cost effective option, a reusable carto?
I'm looking at the CE4-C with the replacement coils.
Also the innokin iTaste 16 & 30 dual coil low resistance clearos with replaceable atomizer heads

Am I actually going to save money going this route? the thing is i like to use different flavors in different cartos too, but i could definitely cut that back to like 3 flavors.
im gonna try to put in an order tonight, so if anyone is still up and you can help me id appreciate it
thanks!

so i dont use a syringe, i tilt them a little and drip down the side, until the foam gets that look that ive seen described here as being kinda like a slushy
sometimes i either drip too much in, or drip too fast, or accidentally drip a little in the center, so i end up with a little spillin out the end, usually not much, and i gently it out and clean off the connection and whatnot
let them sit at least 30-60 minutes sitting up so the liquid (assuming here) spreads throughout the carto easier/faster
but after that these things dont seem to last that long, i will top them off once in a while a very little, because if i top them off more than just a few drops they just start leaking out the bottom. so yeah once they go dry after that, once they lose their flavor when u vape, and start putting out the vape, then theyre pretty much done. but they dont seem to last as long as they should

anything i should try differently? am i missing somethin here?

thanks!

Best idea is to follow the thermometer method. I can't find the video but a fellow member has some great tips on filling a carto.

If you don't want to use the syringe then just place about 10 drops on top and then shake it like an old therometer. Repeat till it gets a bit slushy on top or till your arms fall off. Keep it moist at all times.

For me, I blew past the EDMCC's pretty quick. They're nice, but I didn't get great performance on an ego from DCC's.

I went from them quickly to a carto-tank. I put a 1$ carto in a 6ml. tank fill once a day and it runs better than a reg carto- not too wet, not too dry- so they last me 2-4 wks now.

You can get tanks pretty cheap now and have a tank for each flavor. The carto dies, you just push it out with your juice still in tank.

I've gotten better performance from a Smoketech 1.7 single coil than I ever got with a DC.

I fill the EMDCC first with a syringe. I start with 3 ml in the syringe and gently shove it down the side of the EMDCC - slowly pushing the liquid out as I work the syringe from the bottom to the top. I do it slow enough to do the same thing 7 times around the sides. I finish the filling with drops slowly from the top around the sides - avoiding the center tube. The main idea is to saturate the filling, so it must be done slowly. You can tap the bottom down on a napkin - if a drop comes out - it's full. More juice will come out if you have over-filled it. Just tap it some more and clean the excess off of the bottom with a napkin. The EMDCC is now ready for several hours of vaping, depending on how much you vape. Top off the carto when it starts losing flavor.

so u use 3 ml total per carto eh? i bought a couple syringes a while back for this, but dont have any needles.

It usually ends up being a little bit more than 3 ml as I top them off. I also keep most of my juice in needle-tipped plastic containers that make it easy to add some at the top around the sides.

I have used both but i prefer these eGo Mega Dual Coil Short Cartomizer they are shorter, & hold the same amount. They dont have the wasted space between the filler and where the tip goes in thus allowing one to get the juice right on the filler rather than running it down the side.

After using them for a bit i started to recognize when they need to be topped off but they most always give good performance.

They work best with clear type juices and once ran 30 ml of smokeless image - desert joe through one carto. which is usually unheard of with most cartomizers

I have been using the Innokin 16 dual coil clearomizer and they work great. They burn through the juice fast so you have to fill them more often. They have four wicks which take up a lot of room inside the clearo allowing for not as much juice, but i solved that by cutting the wicks to 1/4" from the coil with no wicking problems, and it allows just a touch more juice to be added.
