You don't necessarily need an "ego" tank, carto or atty to use on an ego battery. Ego batteries have two threading areas. The inner (female) threading is your standard 510 connector, so any 510 device will suit. The outer (female) threads are only found on ego batteries and are used to secure the "skirt" of an advertized "ego" tank or clearomizer. It's a bit hard to understand if you haven't seen it, but I'll try. You can use a regular 510 connector tank on the Ego battery but it will leave the outer threads exposed. Not a big deal but for aesthetics most people buy a "collar" to hide those threads when using tanks or cartos without an ego skirt. Then there are tanks specifically labeled as "eGo" which is implying that the tank has a built in skirt which secures onto the outer threads of the battery thus hiding the outer threads and providing a finished look without the need of a separate collar. That's basically it. I would try several different tanks/cartos to see what you like best. Here's a few:OK, so I'm looking at Vision eGo Spinner 1300mAh, which is a battery, right? So, it says something about "eGo cartomizers, atomizers, clearomizers or tanks" which I need to get. What do I need?
The Vision ViVi Nova and the Vision Mini Nova are popular and something you should try out. They would fall into the category of tanks that you would want to buy a collar with to hide those Ego threads. Depending on the size of the tank, you can find those here: Thread cover for small tanks and Thread cover for lager tanks
For tanks that have a skirt built in, try out these: Ego Vision Replaceable Stardust or the Kanger T3 Bottom Coil Replaceable
If you don't want the hassle (money saver) of replacing attys for the above items, the Stardust is offered in disposable (non replaceable) models. So when the atty is spent, you throw the whole tank out. Look at those here. Stardust
There's also carto tanks (DCT) which work very well. I won't get into those right now but I'm sure someone will lead you into the right direction. Good luck!
