Hello my name is jayy, & i am very new to vaping, im currently a chain smoker (10-15)a day, i would like to know what starter kit would best for me, i would like to e able to fill em up (no idea what im fillin up) i wanna be able to fill up with e juice, and vape around all day, resemblance to a cigg isnt n issue, but not willing to spend over like 80 pleas ehelp me find something that would be down my alley.

Jayy:rickroll:

Heyy Jayy. I have spent about a year trying to find the right one for me. Did the whole free offer (joke) thing, Kiosk at the mall, Tried Blu for a bit, and did the gas station thing too. Today I got my KGO in the mail, added an E Turbo Atomizer, and the juice of my choice and I haven't had an analog in over six hours, and not wanting one either. Immediately ordered more juice and six more atomizers. (Six hours without a cigarette is right up there with walking on water for me) Spent less than $60 on initial investment. Spent about $50 today with extras you may or may not need. Not a vet, but been round the block. Good luck!

Welcome to ECF Jayy! Here's a link for the KGO kit with empty cartomizers: SLB KGO Starter Kit You can choose the cartos you want from a couple of options; I'd suggest either the Boge 2.0 Ohm or XL 1.7 Ohm. They're both good quality, the XLs hold nearly twice as much juice and will be a little hotter.

The kit doesn't include juice so you'll need to get some... best suggestion is to try small samples of flavors you think you might like until you find a few that really work for you. Best of luck, & Happy Vaping! :vapor:

Hey Jayy. An authentic veteran here. I second Warren Lockaby's suggestion of the kGo kit with refillable cartomizers. That'll be right up your alley. Or was it down your alley? Anyway, it's just what you're looking for. And congrats for not trying to look like you're smoking.

Good call Warren. For $44 bucks and two 1100mah batteries, it's a steal. Jayy will have plenty of money left over for juice and cartomizers too.

Try an Ego- C kit from Ovale. They sell for $80 as of a few weeks ago. This will get you through ALL day and the night as well. Pick up a couple of Ego Vision tanks from Altsmoke for $5 each and you will have tons of options and still be under a hundred bucks. The big decision is what juice to buy. That is a matter of personal taste and a bit of experimentation. I started vaping one year ago and couldn't smoke one of those analogs (little stinkies). Whatever happens, don't give up!

Welcome. This is a great place for advice.

Jayy, they are cartomizers and they willl come to you empty. There are several ways to fill them. I recommend what is called the "condom method". No, it doesn't involve condoms. There are little silicone caps, called condoms, over the ends of the cartomizers. You take them off, put juice into one of them and stick the end of the cartomizer into it after removing the endcap of the cartomizer. The juice will get absorbed into the stuffing of the cartomizer. You attach the cartomizer to the kGo, put the drip tip on the end of the cartomizer, push the button and vape. You need to keep the cartomizer wet by occasionally dripping juice into the top when the vapor starts tasting thin or weak.

Search on YouTube for videos that show exactly how to do it. Just search for "cartomizer condom" and a million vids will come up.

Are atomizers better than cartomizers, fill me in please, which would be better since i don't wanna have to replace often?

A cartomizer is actually an atomizer with built in liquid holder. Cartomizer are disposable one, they are usually cheaper, but it will last a while before went bad. An atomizer is built to last longer but you'll need to drip your choice of liquid on them when you vape. Cartomizer made your vaping easier and more practical. I am a carto person, because I am always on the road riding my bike. I still use some atomizer to test a new flavor before i put them in my carto. Both atomizer and cartomizer have their own plusses and minuses.
Not all of atomizer will last longer than cartomizer, i don't know why, but sometimes they just die. Anyway, goodluck and I hope you'll find your 'niches' in vaping world soon.

Cartomizers are one piece units that hold the juice, plus the coil that heats the juice.
Atomozers are a smaller unit that only holds the coil that heats the juice.
With an atty, you have to have a way to deliver the juice to the coil.
Both of these, attys and cartos, need some kind of a mouthpiece.
A drip tip is a mouthpiece that you can drip juice through to deliver it to an atty or to top-off a carto.
When you drip straight into an atty, it's called, strangely enough, "dripping".
If you aren't into dripping, there are special mouthpieces to fit into the top of atty. They hold juice and wick it onto the coil. These are called "cartridges". So, if you are not dripping, you use an atty and a cartridge. Some of these cartridges are quite large and hold a good amount of juice. They're called tanks or something cute.

Personally I'd forget all that tank system stuff for now. It is good to have a couple attys around in order to drip some juice so that you can find out if you like it before you commit to filling up a cartomizer with a flavor you don't like.

A cartomizer is a one piece unit. It contains a place to hold juice as well as the coil to vaporize it.
Cart (cartridge) o Mizer (atomizer)

Some cartomizers are filled with polyester batting to hold the juice. These are least expensive and arguably most reliable and consistent.

Some new cartomizers have no filling. The provide a cleaner taste, but are more expensive and usually need to be fiddled around with in order to make them work real well.

For a newbie, I'd recommend sticking to the traditional cartomizers for now. They hold varying amounts of juice, depending on their size. I am a heavy vaper. With a standard Boge 3ohm carto, I need to add about 8 or 10 drops every 20 minutes or half hour. It depends on how much you're vaping, the type of juice and how hot you're running your PV.

A carto is good for a week or two of pretty steady use. You can clean them, but they're pretty cheap so I don't bother. You can get them for $20 for 15 including shipping at crystalclearvaping.com

Atomizers don't burn out as often, but they cost 4 or 5 times more than cartomizers and you have to clean them regularly. You can get a month or two or even longer out of an atomizer, but you have to clean it often.

Dark juices and juice high in VG will shorten the lifespan of an atty or carto.

Clearomizers are more easily cleanable since they don't have any filling. You can make them last longer, but you ought to , since they cost 3 or 4 times more.

Take my advice. Get 2.5ohm Boge Cartos. Get some 2.0ohm or even 1.5ohm if you want a warmer vapor. I think you can mix and match at the website I linked to above.

Later, when you get the hang of the whole thing, you can investigate Clearomizers.

Look at some of the vendors, including the one where you are getting you kGo. I'm sure they have cartomizers available. I'm not sure how many come with your kit, but you want to have spares. You can't really use poly-filled cartos for more than one flavor each unless you go through all the hassle of cleaning them between flavors. You really don't want to do that. If you can't find good cartos at the proper resistance (2.0ohms, 2.5ohms, 3.0ohms.) get the 15/$20 deal. It's a steal.

I would def get a kGo or check out the E-Power as well. Both are 3.7V PVs that have 510 connections.

The main difference between the 2 is that the E-power uses non-proprietary batteries, which are removable, while the kGo uses proprietary batteries that are incased in the unit. The other difference is that everything is replaceable on the E-Power, so its cheaper to maintain.
Both are quality PVs and I think youd be really happy with either. I use an E-Power bc I like that I can replace things instead of having to buy a whole new unit, and I also like that its much easier to carry a spare battery for an E-Power. And the fact that E-Power batteries cost $4-5 compared to kGo/eGo batteries that cost $14-20, is always a plus as well.
I have used a kGo as well though and its def a nice PV, even though it uses proprietary batteries. The kGo batteries are 1100mah and the E-Power batteries are 1050mah, so they both last a long time and on avg I get a day to a day and a half on one E-Power battery.
You can get a kGo or E-Power kit for under $45, and like I said, I think youd really be happy with either.

With either one I recommend trying the Ressurector cartos. They are designed for 3.7V PVs like the kGo and E-Power, and thry work awesome on both. They are the only cartos I use on my E-Power. The Ressurectors are 1.7ohm so they give a nice warm vape, and they hold about 2ml of juice, so they last a pretty long time between refills.
Like mentioned above, Crystal Clear Vaping sells them for a good price. They have free shipping which is nice, and if you buy a 15-pack you get a free drip tip. If you do order from CCV, dont forget "ecf5off" for 5% off the order.

Keep in mind though, that with any ecig, things can occassionally break and need to be replaced. Also any carto and atty also needs to be replaced after awhile. I know you say you dont want to replace often, and while if you get a good carto or atty and fill and use them properly you wont have to replace often, youll still def have to replace them.

Just to add to what Rob said, I normally recommend the e-Power to newbies because the replaceable batteries and the replaceable switch makes them the only type eGo that is not eventually disposable. In your case, I didn't because of the price issue. I never saw an E-Power kit available for under $60 or so. If you can get an e-Power for near a kGo price, it would be the better choice, IMO.

I also know that you can get e-Powers for different battery sizes. If a larger size is not an issue, there is an 18650 sized e-Power. With a 2250mah Panasonic IMR battery, ($9.99 at orbtronics.com), it will last you the better part of 2 days between recharges. For $13, you can get a 3100mah protected Li-Ion battery that should last you 3 days.

I was in the same boat about a week ago so ill pass on the same suggestion... i went with an e-power from crystal clear vaping, like mentioned above, extra batteries are cheap and all components can be replaced, for $57 u get the epower kit with extra battery, they give u 5 cartos, etc and a 30ml bottle of juice of your choice, then you can throw a 3.5 ml tank on your carto n vape allday n night

How about an E-Power for CHEAPER than you can get a kGo for?

14650 Carto Kit | Sweet-Vapes E-Liquid

Sweet-vapes sell the E-Power kit for only $41.95, which is a really good price and you get a 5-pack of your choice of cartos.
You can also get the regular E-Power kit for the same price that comes with 2 attys and some prefilled cartos.
Both kits also come with the newest Blue LED switch with a 5-click on/off feature, which is another plus as well.
I would def get the kit that comes with the cartos if your considering getting one.

They also sell the eGo-E-Power, like you mentioned, for only $45, which is also a really good deal.

And they sell the kGo now as well for $43.

Crystal Clear Vaping does have a very good deal on the E-Power though, and thats where I bought mine. While their kit is $57, which is more than some ther vendors sell it for, they also give you about $20-25 worth of free stuff. So with the free 5-pack of Ressurectors, free 30ml juice of your choice, and free shipping, the E-Power kit from CCV is actually a really good deal.
