Need your opinions

Hello everybody,

I'm new here and have been lurking for months. Well it's finally time to join the community as I am a pretty experienced vapor now. Unfortunately I have to make some posts here before I can venture out.

Anyways I actually do have a problem I was hoping you guys could help me with.
I've recently been trying to build a "steam machine". I'm currently running a trident clone at 0.15 ohms with a dual coil 24-guage Kanthal A1 4 wrap, center-post build. It's blowing some nice clouds once I drilled out the air holes. The problem is that the trident conducts heat so well that it burns your lips when inhaling for too long. It also makes the vapor considerably hotter than normal. Not just because of the build either. I have a friend using a patriot with a nice A10 clear cap that chucks bigger clouds at a cooler temperature. I'm a college kid so I don't have a large amount of money to spend so I would also like you guys to consider cost-effectiveness. With this in mind, What would you guys suggest for a dripper with the sole purpose of blowing obnoxious clouds?

I want a cost effective opinion, and an opinion for if money wasn't an issue just for ....s and giggles.

Have you tried different drip tips? Some of the delrin hybrids are supposed to dissipate heat very well, and you could pick up a delrin extender to go between your top cap and drip tip to help with the heat dissipation. Some of the tips with cooling fins also work very well at keeping your drip tip cooler. Look into new top-caps too that may have cooling fins or delrin insulators to help with the heat.

If you want a whole new rba, I'd look into an IGO-W with an aftermarket topcap to help get rid of that heat. I've heard some people say that when they threw a new top cap on their IGO it was damn near equal to some of the much more expensive higher end RBAs.

Also, I know you're a college kid on a budget (as am I...) but a price range would help when trying to help you figure out some options.

Get a good Patriot clone with the same cap...or take a look at the Toby or Stillare clones.

try a drip tip with a delrin adapter so it will not transfer too much heat.

The original Omega is designed to sink heat. Also, as others have mentioned, consider a non-conductive, heat-resistant drip tip.

I've been looking into delrin caps, the problem is that the trident only fits the drip tip that it comes with for some reason. I would have to get another dripper anyways for that drip tip.

The omega looks like a great option for when I have some money saved up.

My priority right now is getting the dna 30 clone that was just released. I've been wanting a DNA 30 for some time and now it's affordable to me. After that, I might be thinking a patriot clone with a nice insulating clear cap.
