Needing forum search advice.

Hey all,

At the risk of sounding like a RANT....

I hate, hate, HATE searching PHP forums for anything. (I'm not just complaining about ECF, but ALL PHP based forums)

I either get no results or gazillions of unrelated results. I've stared at the "advanced search" page like a deer caught in headlights for many more minutes than I would like to admit.

For the last few questions I've had, I haven't even BOTHERED to search because I know it will be another few seconds of my life I will never get back and I have too much to do to waste it on the crappy search engine all PHP based forums seem to have.

Is there a SEARCH tips and tricks for ECF that someone can point me to?

You WILL get better and (more than likely) more relevant results by using Google for the search. use the following syntax -- "search terms" site:e-cigarette-forums\"subforum"

For this subforum, to search for keyword it would look roughly like this -- keyword site:Site Feedback and Help

Look at the actual link rather than the text
