I just started the ecigs and just like most everyone else I started with a v2 disposable. I used two of those which i liked. Well I bought an 808 starter kit which I think is just fine. I work outdoors so I really think that will be the best way to vape while working. Ok I found this fourm and after reading all the posts I already want to upgrade to something better (after a week). I live in a really rural area so no chance of going to a vape store. My question is would the Kranger Evod be a good choice for a newbie and where to buy juice online. Thanks In adavanced....

As for juice suggestion it really is a very personal experience of taste. What I like you may not so I just recommend trying different juices and different vendors. Get the sample packs.

I've never used an evod so no experience there. Talk about rural areas lol I'm in WV just now starting to get some vape supplies into the local smoke shop but that's at a lot of pushing and pressure on the owner :)

Stop. Now. While you still have time. And money. :) (J/K...I'm gonna tell you to spend some money...Hahaha.)

I started out with the V2's and like you, found something maybe a little lacking. I think for me it was the reliability, the batteries just didn't last, the cartos just died on me suddenly and overall, the system just wasn't sufficient for me to actually quit smoking. Once I upgraded, though, that actually got me off the cigies. Fear not, though...it's not a total waste...you'll figure out how to use those 808's later on. They're great for trips around town, sampling and ultra-stealth vaping.

I definitely recommend a variable voltage battery...something from a reputable company like Kanger, Joyetech or Smoktech. They're great and let you dial in flavors with voltage changes. The charge lasts me about a day on 1100Mah batteries, so a couple of them is a perfect combination for charging and vaping. Some folks will recommend mods, and they're fine, but it depends on your lifestyle. Not everyone can bring a big old battery or dripping system to work...for me, at least, a mobile setup is great and the eGo style VV's are great for that. You can always get a mod later...but this is a good first step into "real" vaping.

As for tanks, there's a lot of preferences out there, but the Kanger Mini-Pro's are what I've settled on. I like the ability to use any juice out there and they've been really reliable for me. I also have a handful of Kanger eVod's...they're stylish, reliable and relatively inexpensive. Both probably won't hold enough liquid to last all day for most people, but refilling isn't a big deal really. I would probably steer away from Pro-Tanks (and other traditional 510 clearos) until you know why you want them. They hold a ton of liquid, but aren't as portable and fit better on a traditional mod setup. I personally really dig the Kanger setup because I rebuild the coils, so ongoing costs are cheap. If rebuilding not for you, other systems might be more to your liking as their coils will last a bit longer. I think the biggest thing to consider is how many different types of coils/atomizers you have to support...that's why I like the Kanger setup...one coil to rule them all. (At least for eVod, Mini-Pro and Pro-Tanks, anyway.)

I'd second Mount Baker Vapor as a good first start. They have some great juices and they're relatively inexpensive, but their smallest "sampler" is 15ml. It sucks if you don't like a juice, but great if you do. They let you customize your juice precisely how you want, but if you don't know, I'd probably recommend a 50/50 PG/VG mix with zero flavor shots. This will give you a good idea of the flavor and if you want more, you can play with it on a future order. There's tons of recommendations on the forums here. Alice in Vapeland is also really solid, but harder to order from because they're basically only open from midnight Tuesday to 10AM-ish Wednesday. There's a ton of vendors out there, so the sky's the limit. I recommend sampling far and wide until you find things you really like. You might be surprised by what you like, so open your options up to things you might not think you like. I thought I'd like tobacco flavors, but no...it's citrus and fruity flavors that get me going all day. I also had a huge disgust for menthol in cigarettes...but have actually found it to my liking in vapes. Both those things surprised me.

Anyway, that's my 2 cents. Others will have differing opinions and that's fine. I hope you figure things out, but yes, most of us weren't super happy until we got into upgraded equipment. Good luck on your journey and welcome to ECF!

iClear line of tanks is a good choice, although the plastic tanks won't allow some juices. I have 3 and I have no complaints personally, I also use an Aerotank from kanger and rebuild them I would say Kanger is a good way to go for now. You can use any juice without worries on the tank and learn more about rebuilding them, that way you wont have to keep buying new coil packs.

I second MBV, I use alot of their juices frequently. With Good prices and a huge selection you really can't go wrong in anyway. Start off with sample packs and you wont have to worry about juices you don't like.

For a new mod, VV/VW is a good way to go. I suggest Innokin as I have a SVD and have no regrets ordering it. I use it everyday and it's a well built mod that delivers.

I started with the evod. It's a GREAT beginner tank. Very cheap. I got my first one from a place called Vape Dojo for fifteen bucks, included a battery and a charger with it. As for juice, stick around ECF and the only problem you'll have is deciding which ones to try. There are no shortage of juice vendors out there. New ones keep popping up all day. Good luck and congratulations.

I am new to this and am finding out the most time consuming and somewhat costly aspect of vaping is finding that "right" e-juice. Like you there are no vape shops nearby so I'm at the mercy of our good old and sometimes reliable U.S. Postal Service. (And "Bill", my mail guy generally isn't sober from Wednesday on so planning deliveries is critical out here).

Right now I have samples coming from half a dozen e-juice suppliers off and on. Once I find the one I want I'll order it by the barrel.

As far as gear goes, just about anything works for me.

The evod kit is a good next step and pretty good for out and about. I'm not sure how demanding your outside job might be, but the evod tank won't be as leak proof as a disposable or a carto, so I would recommend a carrying case of some kind. An evod is what I normally grab for going out, shopping, etc., and it is reasonably pocket friendly unless you are doing active work...or backflips.
