Hola ECF. First post here.

I recently acquired a VC X1 mech and upon initial examination it has a pretty deep scratch where the fire button connects to the negative end of the battery.

It fires no problem and if this isn't a big deal I don't wanna go pestering the vendor for a replacement, but if it is then I'd like to know so I can get it taken care of.

For reference, I've studied up on battery safety and know my way around it well enough to handle a mech, but I'm kinda head scratching on this one.

Thanks in advance guys.

My apologies. It was $99. Still gonna send an email, as much as I hate to be "that guy".

Its only cosmetic. It wont affect performance at all.

That said, Id rip the vendor a new one.
Thats extremely unprofessional to ship a damaged product especially after charging a premium price.
I would ask for a replacement pin or a new mod on principal alone.
They arent doing you a favor.
You paid them good money.
