Nemesis button getting hot-Why?

hello!
I have a nemesis that I really like, I take care of it, clean it, etc, but after the last cleaning, it started a new habit: the button gets hot every time I use it, even when using 1.8 ohm coils. I know my atomizer isn't shorted, the battery is good, it is just hot, both with the spring and magnets. If anyone has an idea how to fix it, or what the problem can be, please share it!
Thank you :)

Any sort of resistance in the button is going to equate to heat buildup.

If you've cleaned everything else, it could be some oxidation inside the threads where the pin sits. Since recently purchasing an hcigar nemi clone myself, I've been looking into any future problems I might encounter from long-time nemi-owners.

Ya might try wrapping a small amount of fine steel wool on a jewellers screwdriver or paper-clip and working the female button threads where the negative terminal post sits, and the threads that make contact with the mod. (gently, and take care to blow out all the wool threads as to not make the problem worse when you're done cleaning).

I've also seen that most lubricants on the threads will cause some resistance issues. (I use a fine layer of graphite from a pencil to lube the threads that contact the mod and don't seem to have any heat issues)

Would also take some isopropyl and thoroughly clean up the negative pin.

There are several google'able threads and youtube how-to's on this as well. These might give a bit more insight. gl man.

I would tend to agree with this, I use a Nemi regularly, and have had this problem, albeit with sub-ohm builds. Giving the button assembly a damn good clean usually solves it. They do acquire a large amount of pocket fluff and bits in the button, don't use any type of wet lubricant the fluff sticks in it and turns to goo that stops it working all together!
