Nemesis Clone with Patriot RDA

I am new to rebuilds and just bought a Nemesis Clone with Patriot rda and the rda comes with a 1.8ohm dual coil build, using 32 gauge nichrome wire. I am not looking to cloud chase and love vaping for the flavor. When I go to purchase kanthal and wick - is this the gauge that I should get?

Also, I do not have a ohm's reader. Is that necessary to have or can I get by without it?

If you are staying at that high of an ohm you can really get by with any type of wire. I personally prefer 30g for my higher ohm builds and 24 guage for my sub ohm builds. Also I would go with kanthal wire. I have a patriot rda as well but my builds ok there tend to stay around .2-.4 ohms and the flavor is incredible (depending on the build it's better than my kayfun sometimes). I'm assuming they sent it to you with silica wick as the wicking material. Some people like this a lot, I don't, I prefer using my maxim hygiene organic cotton balls because they wick very well and produce great flavor.

As far as the ohm meter goes. I would say definitely get one. Battery safety is something every vaper should be knowledgeable on especially if they are building their own coils and using a mech mod.

IMO..you should never consider building coils and doing RDA's without a meter, I'm .... about testing...I test at least three different times during the build, better safe than sorry. Also, IMO...if your chasing flavor and dripping...you really get max flavor in sub ohms, crazy flavor. And as Bad Ninja stated..read up on battery safety and get good batteries!! know the limits of your batteries!
