Greetings fellow vapers,

OK thing is i recently bought an Nemesis, using US18650VTC4 batteries which from
recommendations is one of the better ones for mech mods.

Im using the svoemesto Kayfun v3.1 ES Styled Rebuildable Atomizer with 32mm Kanthal wire (which is around 30G if not mistaken) and 2.5mm Silica wick.

Getting 1.9ohms out of the built coil, im new to this coil building i might add.

The weird thing is it seems to produce more of a hit and vapor using the atomizer on my Vamo V2.. I thought these rebuildables was supposed to work better on mechanical mods? Not true? Or what am I doing wrong?

Thanks!

Your mechanical mod will perform better on builds that are lower resistances as it only puts out what the build is. The vamo will perform better with higher resistance builds as it will put out regulated voltage constantly but is limited to the amount of current it can output. I believe your vamo will not fire under 1.3 ohms (approximately) but that's when your mechanical mod will start to shine. Try building around 1 ohm and you will have better results.

Your ohms are a little high for a mech I think. I run my Kayfun lite at 1.3 ohm with 28ga (0.32mm) wire and am getting great performance with cotton ball wicks. At 1.9 ohms the mech just can't push as much power to the coil as the vamo. I am actually thinking about a 0.9-1.1 ohm coil next time I build it as a little higher voltage on my vamo actually works just a tiny bit better.

I am running a 1.8ohm micro w/cotton in my kayfun 3.1 and it is performing great on my mvp2. It performs meh on mechs but that is to be expected with higher ohms. Since mechs are fixed voltage you really can't take full advantage of your higher ohm builds with a mech w/o a kick. Around 1.3ohms is where I start to see mechs shine for me.

Yes. :)

I have 2 or 3 mechanical mods and don't use them with standard "off-the-shelf-resistance-level" atomizers.

I use 1.1 - 1.3 ohm builds to use on them and even then, I charge the battery around the 3.7 volt level.

Alright I tried building a coil to my RSST Genesis Style Atomizer ,
4 loops around a 3mm silica wick with 0.32mm Kanthal wire gave me 0.8ohms.

But it didn't work so good, all it did was burn the silica wick rendering in horrible burnt taste.
Maybe that was due to me making the loops a bit to big for the silica wick so it didn't touch it all around 100%.

Maybe cotton is a better suit for low ohms?
