Magnets are great. They help loads. I've got one clone with a magnet and one without. But I've also found that fiddling with the springs in the switch can help almost as much. They don't always come from the factory perfectly seated. Have a go at them. With enough spring fiddling, my clone without the magnets works almost as well as my clone with the magnets. Also make sure that the connection plate is completely screwed in. A loose plate will make the switch crunchy for sure. I have to adjust mine fairly frequently.

The springs actually serve more than one purpose. 1 they push the button back down and they also serve to help the electrical connection. I don't know about that mod specifically but with some mods switching to magnets causes more misfires and sometimes switch burnout.

If the spring is still in tact try cleaning it very well and use some dielectric grease on the spring and any moving parts. The button will be considerably smother and make better connection, consistently.
