Hey all,

Iv'e got a Protovapor XPV DNA30 coming which has non-removable battery. I came up with the idea to attach a small USB power-bank to it when I need the battery to last longer (e.g. when I travel). I just want to run over my idea with a few people to make sure its both plausible and safe.

I want to attach this power bank to the mod using Neodymium Magnets then use a short/thin usb cable to connect it to the Evolv USB charger with the plan that I could effectively use it as a passthrough device on the go until the bank drains and uses the internal battery

The portable battery I had in mind was this:
VEO - 2800mAh Power Charger Battery Bank for iPad, iPad: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics

The APV is here:
XPV DNA-30D | Protovapor.com

So I guess my questions are:

  • Is this idea plausible?
  • Will Neodymium Magnets be safe for the APV and battery
  • What Strength magnets would be good (e.g. 500g pull)?

thanks in advance
