NES Controller mod!

Ok, I know someone has already made these, but I absolutely loved my NES and would absolutely love to mod the one controller I have left. I will post pics when it's finished. All input is appreciated of course. Just a couple questions.... What should I make it? 3.7v, 5v reg, 6v, or variable voltage. Should I make it a regular 510 connection or a bottom feeder (I do not think I can fit a squeeze bottle inside to make a practical bottom feeder though)? What would you like to see?

I'd like to see a pushbutton variable volatage with 510 atty. That would be sweet. but not sure because of the button layout how you would accomplish that. even if both buttons were fire buttons it still would be cool.

I'm thinking about replacing the a or b button with a horn button.

As someone who's made one before I can let you know that unless you extend the depth of the controller the largest batteries you'd be able to fit are 10440's. The interior space is restricted to around 10mm at the widest and less than 7 under the buttons there is also a fair bit of support structures inside that you'll have to grind out.

Has anyone made mods using the flat camera batteries? I saw a couple at best buy that are 3.7v 1200mah and 2.5 amps

The Lithium Polymer with USB would be the way to go for sure I believe.

Thanks guys .... This was exactly what I was looking for... The NES controller is held together by 6 screws and taking it apart for every charge would have been a hassle. An onboard charging unit will be perfect!!! Thanks again
