Well after Steve posted I pulled them back out. I decided to remove part of the sticker around them so I know they these can never leave my desk. I would rip my hair out if I was at work and screwed on a cart only to find out it was one of these that don't work.

This battery has a flat contact and the carts that I threw way also has a flat contact.

OK guys I'll try to clear this up. The slotted batteries are the older style. Most of our auto batteries were slotted with 2 holes and a blue LED. We received a small batch of green, black, and blue auto batteries with 3 holes, no slot, green LED's. All of the manuals are unslotted, 3 holes. The first batch of manuals all had 5 second cutoffs and green LED's. The new manuals (10 Second cutoff), we have both blue LED's and green LED's. The XL manuals, for now, are unslotted, 5 second cutoff, green LED's.

Well.... I have my passthru in my left hand and my new Black/BLUE LED in my right both have the same new carts on them. The only difference between them is I cant hit that 10sec cutoff. This is exactly what I was looking for and that was a battery that would have as good or close to the performance of my loved passthru. I now feel like I dont have to be chained to my desk.

The bad.... I just threw away 15 new carts because they will not work with the no slotted battery. I unscrewed them a little to get some air and it must be just enough that no contact can be made.:( Yes I could of kept them and used them in my passthru (both autos bite the dust btw), but I would forget and they would end up in my case that I take to work with me and I would be a very unhappy Steve.

Even with the slot thing this battery Rocks Steve

Wouldn't the STAPLE MOD work for this to make space for air draw?

never heard of it till an hour ago. :D With my luck I would somehow kill my new battery but it sure looks like it would.

It is actually very easy to do and as long as the "v" shaped staple does not fall into the battery (which it really can due toe the way it is designed extending beyond the edges of the hole, you should have no problem. I use this on some of my batteries where the middle kept slipping down and not make contact.

Yeah, the staple mod will work. I had this issue yesterday and the staple mod fixed it right up.

I said this a couple minutes ago, and I'll say it again. Seems odd that V4L would sell products that are incompatible with each other without using the staple "mod" or taking a dremel to them.

My problem came from the fact that I was having a problem with NHaler carts on a VK battery, so that's not V4L's fault...but it seems like it can happen if you only buy from V4L also.

There are very few carts that we sell that do not work with all batteries (they are pretty much gone). Steve has stated many times that if you have carts that do not work with your batteries, just let us know and we will either replace the carts, or replace the battery.

I understand Mark. That just sucks for people who are all excited to get a new batch of carts (or start vaping for the first time) and find out that they need to wait longer for another shipment.

edit - maybe you should have a different spot on the site for the unslotted carts. I just think it would be helpful to know what you're getting. Not a big deal, just saying...

Did you received unslotted carts from us? If so could you let me know which ones so I can make a note in the product description. Honestly I think all the carts that we have received in the last month and a half have been slotted.

Nah, I haven't. Just read in this thread that some people have. That's all.

I gotcha... yes there are some older carts out there with no slots... but most of ours have been gone for quite a while. As a note to any of our customers... If you ever receive carts that do not work with your batteries... please let us know before you toss them.
