I googled the L88B. It appears that its what is commonly called an Eko? It looks like a Joye 510 in that it's shaped like a cigarette? The cartos should fit it if it's threaded the same as a 510. Most switch to the Ego or a mod for longer battery life. The drip tips have almost no weight to them.

The cartos are said to hold 30 drops. I don't put any more than that in a new one, even though they will hold more. If you overfill them, at least on a refill they sometimes become 'stuffy' and hard to pull air through.

hope this helps

:)

Thanks for the reply! I've had pretty good luck so far with the Soft caps. The Boge I've not gotten very good vapor from yet, I realized it probably does not have enough juice in it. I think I only put around 20 drops, maybe a few more.

It's also wierd how some people have good luck with the SLB cartos and others don't. I also understand what the other poster was saying about having to air out the Boge ones. I think the odor is just from the plastic caps they use. The fact that they wrap each carto in a little plastic bag is likely the reason it doesn't dissipate. It doesn't bother me though and once you remove the caps/wrapper it seems to dissipate quickly.

So far I seem to like the SLB cartos more. I'm about to fill another Boge and see if I maybe didn't put enough juice in the first one I used. So far no burning with either type, but, I didn't expect that would be much of an issue for me. I don't really chain vape all that much.

One question I had... I can look through both types of cartos from end to end. Like looking through a telescope w/o the magnification. From the SLB picture though it seems like the coil would be in the way and would obstruct the tunnel going through the carto. I guess its off to the side just enough so that you can see through?

Well, it's been 11 days since I posted back on post #11 that I didn't like these SLB cartos because of burning. I've since orderd more Boges and have thrown all these SLBs out.

They simply kept burning when the liquid around the coil was used up. I was trying to keep them wet in that area and had resorted to dripping directly on the coil.

It really amazes me on how we all have different experiences from the same two type of cartos. For me the brass threaded ones work best and I seem to have nothing but issues with the sliver threaded ones. Yet others seem to have no issues with the silver ones and have their issues the brass ones. We all seem to having the same issues but each one of us with one or the other, it has me wondering why?

It seems like when you use up the liquid around the coil, you need to rest a bit, and allow the fluid some time to soak the coil region again. Technically, I think that is what an atomizer bridge intended to do, but wicking juice through the batting to a bridge was more complicated and difficult.

Given time, however, the carto should have no problem with liquid SELF-redistribution. Many times, I hear that you should let them sit a little while even on the first fill ever. Time is what allows the entire batting to get moist, and well, basically what I'm posting is that I wonder if those for whom the new coil design doesn't seem to work good enough are possibly just not allowing a few minutes of time for the batting to self-resoak.

The area around the coil should be able to hold 4 to 8 drops, that should be long enough for one analog's worth of use duration, so relaxing a bit and allowing your carto to self-resoak itself may at least be helpful. I haven't tried these new ones yet, but from the sounds of it, I wonder if this could have something to do with it.

( If this makes sense, then it could almost be possible to burn any carto of any type by deliberate means. Simply vape like a maniac or even worse, have two people vape on the same carto like crazy, and I am almost willing to bet that you can easily burn any carto of any model and of any type, by severely vaping much, much faster than the batting can redistribute its juice. )

I am looking forward to trying both of these! I had written off Cartos after my last order of hard-tipped empties from Shawn. I never got any of them to work properly and ended up throwing most of them away. I will give these a try because I always end up smoking analogs when I am out. Its so much hassle to carry a bunch of atomizers and carts around with spare batteries. My plan is travel with my ego and cartos and use my ProVape-1 at home.

I just orderd some SLB 510 cartos today. This is my first try with cartos...I have been dripping since I first started vaping(Never had much luck with cartridges).I will be using these at 5v.Anyone else had any experiences with 5v and the SLB's? How is the throat hit? Flavor? ect. Would really like to hear how many re-fills I can expect per carto at 5v?

Wiz,

I have been using the SLB Carto's for a while now and have greatly enjoyed them compared to the Boge cartos. Myself going through about 4 to 5 ml of juice a day, I may refill a carto 5 or 6 times throughout a day and have the average carto last me about five days. I do not bother trying to clean the carto, if I get get my 5 days out of it, I just then toss it. After spending time using Mega atty's and carts and doing the dripping, I have found these to be easier and more enjoyable to vape with.

I recieved 10 of the SLB"s on Wed (never used a carto before) and made some rookie mistakes. Flooded the 1st one, then went on to burn the cotton. Once I got the hang of it they work fine.

I removed the batting from that 1st one and replaced it w/ blue foam (NOT A GOOD IDEA!!) the BF did a slow burn (don't want to inhale that!). So I removed the BF and let the carto soak in Everclear, rinsed w/ water and let it dry. I put it in my 5V PT did a direct drip (3-4 drops) and to my surprise it vaped up a storm. Great draw and throat hit and good for 10-12 hits. Has anyone tried this? Is there a downside?

I have used both the SLB and Boge @ 5v and actually I like the Boge better the SLB is too Hot, probably due to its coil being so high up in the carto. Both work fine though, Its always a matter of taste. I havent refilled an SLB more than 3 times ( Cause I still have Boge's to Vape) But On the Boge I refill about 4 -5 times a day and use them for about 3 days. Then they get hard to draw through. Ive never had one burn out. Oh the SLB fits better on the Prodigy V2 510 adaptor then the boge which is loose on there. So I guess its threads are a little closer to 510 spec.

Thanks Techno.....I'll most likely be using my cartos on a 5v Prodigy V1 and my 5v GLV-2........Really hoping I can just rotate 3 or 4 filled cartos throughout the day and a void dripping altogether. If the throat hit is there I will be impressed! Looks like they shipped yesterday.....Fast sevice Shawn!!

I've had probs with the SLB cartos too. First few draws were great, then I apparently hit it too hard and burned the filler. I use just a Joye 510, and I do like to take a 5 to 7 sec puff every 20-30 secs. I pulled the carto apart, and saw a nice little black spot of the filling right next to the heat coil. It's not a matter of juice - I use a pretty low viscosity TV juice and always kept the carto full. The Boge cartos (with the silver threads) seem to hold up a little better for my vaping style. Overall though, I'm starting to think that I want to go back to the standard atty - as the juice consumption is much less. A burnt carto with a ml of juice in it just sucks.

Wow....Just got my SLB's today!! Very impressed!! Terrific troat hit and flavor at 5v.My only concern is that I am not getting much liquid into the carto before it tops off(I am dripping with the cap off on a 45 degree angle).Anyone tell me what the best way to fill these might be? Condom method? Through the connector end w/syringe? I'm getting about 8-10 good drops in before the top is flooded....and maybe as many good hits before having to top off again!

Any help is appreciated....I really enjoy this product!!

After you put the first 8-10 drops in, you can shake it like a thermometer, or use the 'spin method' (search for it, popular technique) to force the liquid into the filler. I can usually get 25-30 drops into an empty cartomizer (regardless if it's KR808D-1 or Boge, haven't tried SLB) before it's full.

Hope this helps..

Also when first filling them, I take my time and rotate the cartomizer some while holding it at an angle instead of vertically, as I push the filler cap with liquid up. Yes, then shake it or spin it back down (with the hole plugged, of course), this helps remove air pockets in the filler layers.

After you first fill it, it's also good to let it sit and rest a while and allow liquid concentrations to disperse.
