So I've only used cartos and a vivi nova and a couple of my friends mods so my experience is limited. The Vivi Nova was just terrible but I can't say mine wasn't a clone so I probably don't have 100% accurate info on it. But from what I've read on here it seems I had the same results of many others. Now I just purchased a new AGR tank with an XL LR Boge Cartomizer and I have got to say: This the best device I have used so far hands down. I had assumed it would be just like using regular cartomizers (I have the standard Boge LR cartos) albeit much more convenient. But this thing seems to have much better vapor production and a slighty better taste. Perhaps it's just the XL Cartomizer or maybe it's that the Carto is 2 ohms instead of 1.5 ohm standard ones (which is probably the case) but it seems to perform substantially better. I had gotten nervous after reading some of the problems MANY people seem to have with the AGR tank ie leaking, flooding etc. and I had some of that at first mostly due to inexperience but once I got this thing working man it works WELL. I really just hope I have a consistent experience because if so I won't be needing anything anytime soon (except for that v2 Vamo I have my eye on :p)

I set my AGR aside, as I bought it and an X8 tank to try out the GV Raven, and the Raven doesn't fit in the AGR. No big deal, but after many years of dealing with 808 cartos, I swore I would never use a regular filler carto again.

After doing a little research, I found the SmokTech Terminator, which is a clone of the Killer 705. (not linking to vendors because there's a few selling them, and I'm not playing favorites). The tank that it comes with is just a standard XL carto tank, nothing special. I had heard that the Terminator was nice, but fiddly with a regular tank, so I didn't even try to set it up in that, but I immediately thought of my poor, neglected AGR.

This thing is a beast in the AGR with the long tube! I have not even used my Protanks in a couple of days, and have had to drop my nic down by half... it drinks juice like there's no tomorrow, and really clean taste with a much tighter draw than the Protanks. I've ordered a couple more (without tanks) and some supplies to rebuild. They're somewhat fiddly to get going, but once you get everything synched up the AGR and the Terminator work like a charm.

Hmm that's actually a neat combo. Are talking about using the atty from the Smoktech Terminator? If so that's a great idea. It would probably work better than any standard clearomizer tank.

Yes, after a whole lot of digging through various threads, I decided to give the Smoktech Terminator a go... after seeing exactly how it was put together and what complaints others have had with it, I knew the tank that it came with was just a basic carto tank, and that the bottom section of the Terminator needs a good solid place to sit. I refill from the top of my AGR. I close the juice feeder, remove the fill screw on top, unscrew the top cap, and slide the cap up enough to get a drip nozzle from my juice bottle in there.... fill it up almost to the threaded part of the AGR, then screw the top down and replace the fill screw (filling through the port with a needle always overpressurizes the tank for me).

Wow I bet that would be amazing. I may try that because I do prefer the taste and hit of an atomizer over a cartridge, but a drip atomizer seems like too much work for me since I like to chain vape for short periods of time. The AGR and atty combo might be a good in between.

I hope you like your AGR and don't experience any of the problems I've heard about them. I ordered mine from discountvapers and that seemed to be where many who had problems ordered from. Perhaps they now sell a different version because the only difference between today and yesterday is that my juice has soaked in more and performs even better :) Now that I've gotten refilling down I've experienced no leaking and no flooding whatsoever.

I got mine today, punched/primed a carto, filled it over the punch hole and it leaked. I put a drip tip ring around the 510 connection figuring that would stop it and it didn't ....BUT
I figured what the problem was.
I punched the hole too big.
I took out the drip tip ring, punched a hole that was about 1mm, lightly primed and installed it....vapes great now, no leaking :thumb:
Great flavor and clouuuuds of vapor!
One of the secrets with this...smaaaall carto hole, lol

Also to deal with the issue of the screw interfering with the seating of the drip tip, I just used an XXL Boge carto with the small tank.
Since my manual dexterity is pretty much shot, I can unscrew the top cap, pull it up to the bottom of the drip tip and refill the tank.
I just leave the screw in because it is too small for me to manage.

Thanks Unforeseen, I didn't even know that sub-forum existed :p

Yeah I got the pre-punched Boges and they are working well. I just refilling by taking the screw cap off and unscrewing the whole top off and filling, then slowly screw it back on and replace the screw cap. I don't have a needle tip so this is more convenient and probably faster. Just got some new double vanilla from vikingvapor and am excited to try it :)

Polypro replacement would be doable but the pyrex is probably out of the question due to the threading. :( I have two AGR's that i love! I just got my Killer clone and was thinking about tossing it into the agr. As previously noted the tank it comes with is junk. The coating was flaking off when i took the terminator out of it.

Yeah threading would be tricky with this because the threads are different than many tanks. I haven't had a single issue with leaking with 3 different types of juices not even a drop. The only time it leaks is when I have either not screwed the caps on tight enough or when I refill and it drips out of the 510 connector which should happen anyway. So far so good on this tank, best and most consistent setup I've used.

I have a Vamo v2 coming in the mail. Ordered on fasttech so it will be awhile but for the price it's totally worth the wait. It comes with 2 batteries, a great charger, and stainless steel version for only $53. Gotta love it :) I can't wait to try this tank at a higher voltage!

That's a mighty fine price for the set! :thumb:
I paid 50.00 for the body only months ago.
When mine leaked, it leaked out of the 510 connection, too, but it was at the 510 connection where it attached to the bottom part with the connection extension.
Its not leaking now, though...I will be getting another one of these.
I just wish they sold replacement tanks for them

Replacement tanks would be nice, especially since they aren't glass and can break with certain e liquids. It'd be awesome to have a glass tank that threaded correctly with these. My problem at first was the 510 connection, but when I tighten it well enough I have no leaks.

Yeah, I can't wait to vape my boge 2 ohm at 4-4.2 volts. They had one with 2 vivi novas and a crappy charger with a 18350 battery and one with some clearos (don't remember which kind but I believe they were Vision's) but in chrome. Figured since I already have some cartos and clearos I may as well get a nice charger and some good batts. I'm so ready to have a VV/VW device so I can vape at full potential. When my Vamo comes I'll be set with vaping for a long while :) I thought about going with Vamo v3 in black chrome, but heard they were not very durable and the design was pretty odd. No stainless steel was available either (at least on fasttech) which was a deal breaker for me.

After using this for a few days I notice I'm not using up a lot of juice.
I only have to fill a couple times in a day (16 hours for me) and I'm a super - heavy vaper.
I think we got a winner here...as long as they don't try to do a 'new and improved' on it (unless the improvement includes a polypro tank)
If it ain't broke, please don't fix it, lol
