I myself try to mix my juices at 50/50 pg and vg. If it is high in PG there can be to much throat hit for me. I always suggest on evod's to keep them full and when you do fill them, place a napkin over the mouth piece and shake it several times like you would an o'l time thermometer. I finds this helps me and I do it every time. I am the first one to agree that vaping is not near as easy as buying a pack of cigarettes but like every thing else, the extra benefits outweigh the extra effort. Please just hang in there and feel free to ask for help from here. All wonderful people here that are glad to help you. I may not have been a super help but I tried because I care. Good luck to you. :)

Update went back to the store today, different lady in. She slipped on a rubber and tried it and hit it perfectly fine... I tried it, burn and not much vape so she sold me a lower mg of the juice I got, which I found out is 50/50 BTW. So going to try it tomorrow when my throat feels better but hoping it helps. Its strange that I could use it for 5 hour or so then suddenly it was burning my throat but all she could think of is the mg was bugging my throat somehow... still doesn't explain why my gfs was finding it harsh though as well unless it takes that long to soak the wick properly? I don't know. Will update. Burning in throat, not burnt taste by the way. :) Later and thanks all.

Oh another question... what is typical for in between vape times? Everyone mentions over vaping but is that every 5 mins? Every 10? 3 small vapes in a row between every so often? :p

Do you mean between draws? Vaping sessions?

I pretty much chain vape all day--on and off. I take a couple of long, slow draws, a little break (just a few seconds in-between is enough), rinse and repeat. And I always have at least two PVs going with different flavors. I use 3-4 ml of eliquid daily, sometimes less.

What you don't want to do is take a lot of quick, sharp, cigarette-like drags in rapid succession as this may starve the coil of juice and will result in a dreaded dry hit--especially if you're vaping at higher wattage. Most stock atomizer just can't wick fast enough in those situations.

You'll figure it out in no time.

Over-vaping is when you start getting a headache or hiccups. It's a sign of too much nicotine, not a big problem, just an indication to put the PV down for an hour or two. Vape enough to be satisfied, no craving a cigarette, calm, happy....:) Your body will tell you if it's too much, I used to get hiccups when I tried gum to quit....but then they never said to chew three pieces to kill the cravings.

I too had the sore throat for weeks. Actually went to the dr. cuz I thought I had strep throat! I us a 50/50 mix at 18 mg of nic. I was getting dry/harsh hits with the evods and mini protank2. First thing is replace the coil with a new one, a 5 pk is $8 to $10. (saturate your wick with juice before putting in your tank.) Take your old one apart. I use a paper towel to get a better grip on the stem and pull it out. There will be 2 "flavor" wicks on top of the coil. Set these aside and run the base with the coil in it under hot water. Soak all parts in vodka a few hours or overnight. After soaking rinse the coil under hot water again and dry with a paper towel. Insert the coil without the flavor wicks or stem into the base and connect to your battery. Set to low 3.3 or 3.5 and dry burn. Just pulse a few seconds at a time until the coil glows red and the wick that is inside the coil turns white or at least looks cleaner than it was. (Careful not to get to hot as the rubber gromet in the bottom may burn and you wont get rid of the burnt taste.) I personally only put back in one flavor wick as I use a 50/50 and think the juice has more room to get to the wick with only one flavor wick. If it floods put the other wick back in. To get rid of the sore throat pick up a dripper atomizer at the vape shop There only like $7. Its just a little tube with a coil in the bottom. I got one that had what looked like mesh in the bottom. This is when I found out what kinda flavor I was missing. I used it for a few days and my sore throat went away. I still tend to "chain vape" hitting it a couple times a minute while watching TV but now do "primer puffs" every 2 or 3 hits to help keep the wick wet.

I just bought a starter kit that came with two Vision Spinner batteries and two Kangertech EVOD... cartridge I would have to assume they are called? It came with a case and a charger as well. At first there were no problems whatsoever but in under 7 hours, taking a hit caused a burning in my throat and barely any cape "smoke". Is there a certain way to hold it that I was unconscious of and am now doing it wrong? I am trying to quit smoking and honestly so far this is disappointing for a beginner with vaping. D: I am guessing its some beginners mistake due to it working great and then not in so little time. Any tips would be appreciated from the more experienced vape users. :)"

PS its on lowest setting and attached photo of it.

without reading the comments, i will post my response. I have encountered this in different ways. your liquid level is either out, you held the button for too long and have burned the wick a little (temporary burn taste) or you actually burned the wick that is held inside the atomizer causing a burnt taste/flavor and hit.

A tip to remember. when you hit that button, the coil inside heats up around that wick and causes the system to "vaporize" the liquid surrounding the coil. Once you release that button juice fills back up into that wick that is touching the coil. the time it takes to refill that liquid seems to be about 3 seconds. depending on how long your taking a hit will depend on how much liquid you draw from that wick, thus you need to give it a second to refill itself.

Not a burnt taste. Burning in back of throat. Thank you though.

She literally had someone who was new come in and have the EXACT same problem but when they switched tanks to something else it went away, because I was asking about the dripper stuff which are pricey at this store as they are all mods or something. So I appreciate all the help and update tonight or tomorrow on how the new tank is doing me.

You have all been very helpful though and will keep all these things in mind if a problem arises. :) glad I didn't have 140ish down the drain.

This may be a dumb question but please be patient I am quite new to this.
I have a 900 milliamp ego t battery and am using a rebuild able iclear16 1.5 ohm tank. It keeps giving a burnt taste after only one tank. No matter what flavour, all I taste is a rank burnt flavour. It's Hangsen liquid at 24mg. Any advice welcome as its putting me off vaping. I can't really afford to buy any more kit. This was my step up from ecigs and maybe I am doing something wrong. Please help if you can. Ta!

So it was good for 1 tank and then it started tasting burnt?

The wicks need time to soak the liquid

Soliphant, since it is rebuild able maybe try a good soaking in vodka and dry burn. There are lots of YouTube videos on this. I had the same problem with my first ce4 style tanks, they look similar to the I clear16 but were not rebuildable. Almost put me off to, hated that burnt taste. Also che k your shop and see if they have replacement heads. One thing I found if after filling if I did not give it time to soak in instant burnt taste.
