Hello everyone.

I am 46 years old, have smoked since I was 15. I have always had a cig in my mouth or in my hand (heavy chain smoker), I even played sports (on field), and ran track (while smoking a marlboro) coaches and referees used to get soooo mad at me.

I have tried to quit so many times that I cant count. I really enjoy smoking...relaxing / calming. I have contracted bad COPD and doctor told me I had to quit, I imetiately told her that thats all you doctors favorite 1 liner. I have tried to quit but when I got stressed I smoke, when I was trying to quit smoking I became such an ... to my family and friends to the point that if they were going to be around me that they would automatically bring a pack of Marlboros over so I wouldnt be such a hateful ... to them.

I have tried everything to help me quit smoking...
Nicotene Gum...chewed and smoked
Patch...smoked while on patch
Stop smoking pills...smoked while on those too
hypnosis...wont let anyone in my head like that

My doctor recommended the e-cig (Blu) tried it liked it but not the taste / aftertaste

I got an Ego VV with digital screen had it for a month didnt even care to have an actual cigarette (and havent been an ... to everyone) but the battery didnt last long enough on 1 charge and they are made cheaply (mine is anyway).

I needed / wanted one more durable / dependable so I ended up with the Vamo vv (black chrome) reads resistance on every vape item put on it so I now know where to set it for awesome vaping...plus I can use it as an attitude adjuster if I ever need to Lol.

vaping and loving it...have not had or desired a cig for a month and a half now. In fact I get confused sometimes when vaping...I mean I'm looking around on my desk for the cigarette that I just took a puff off of when it dawns on me...oh yea, I dont smoke anymore and what I am really looking for is hanging around my neck (doh!).

This really works and is not a gimmick...
Vaping for life now :vapor:and saving my life now also and the life of someone around me (if you subscribe to any of the second hand smoke BS that is)

Due to posts like yours whenever I run into someone trying to quit I can now recommend a solution! My uncle actually has a pretty big smoking problem, he constantly chews Nicorette and he recently confided in me (Everyone thinks he stopped, but I'm pretty non-judgemental and have a few unhealthy habits of my own haha) he still smokes, although he's changed to cigarillos. Now I have something to recommend to him!

Congratulations on quitting! Now, I'm just curious, do you plan on weaning yourself off of nicotine or are you just letting yourself have that? I'm not pushing either way I'm just wondering if people that use e-cigs to stop smoking try to dwindle down their nicotine consumption or if they just stick with what works.

Congrats Vapo:toast: Your story sounds just like mine. Did your same path,Blu,Ego and now the Vamo. I call it the BEAST. I have been quit for 2.4 years, after a 35 year love affair, with cigs. I have not been to a Doc,but knew I had a problem, when I would breathe in and go into a choking/coughing fit. I did not have high hopes when I started the E-cigs,as none of the other crap worked. I now go to the gym every morning and swim 16 laps. The first day I could not get to the other end of the pool with out being winded. To ST- I do not plan to quit the Nicotine,as I have Crones and anyone with UC or Crones, will tell you the Nic helps, too like Vapo said,if I don't have the Nic,I become a pure-D-Ahole. Besides my lungs being better,my teeth and skin are better. I have put on 45lbs,but I retired and at 6'2 I can carry 190lbs. at 145,people thought I was sick and too skinny. Happy Vape trails too you:vapor:

I have no designs/ thoughts or contemplations of quitting nicotine yet...it's still too early for me to even consider this as a possibility.

thank you
