I am using the halo Triton for about a week now.

1st question: one of my 650 ohm batts seems to lose power more than the other but i use it the most but the draw always seems more loose with it. Is this normal?

2nd; My eliquid seems to turn dark in the clearomizer after a bit of use [no burnt taste] is this normal? Is itime to change the coil? only using a week or less.

1:
- Sooner or later the battery will die; it will deteriote with time and usage
- the draw would depend on the 4 air spaces at the top where it closes onto the topper.

2:
- my eliquid also turns darker, especially if there is nicotine in the liquid.
- a week is probably good time to change a coil but it depends on the system and the tank; its all about the taste; I'm not familiar with the halo hardware; my own coils i use for a day or few then put to soak/clean.

I would contact Halo about the battery, they have great support and will replace it if found faulty.

hello psyc63, welcome to ECF

so have you cleaned the threads on both batteries real good ?
(maybe had a juice spill in one)
use toothpick/sewing needle to assure clear air holes on bottom of tank

it's natural for juice to darken by itself,
also the effect of "cooking" by the process of atomizing
could be described like the oil in your deep fryer...
(coil heating)

first 'hint' your coil isn't tasting like it was/should
pull it out and clean/rinse it off (better sooner than later)

:)

The Triton battery is an 808/ego and has small holes at the base of the 808 threads for airflow. On some batteries these holes may be larger, or plugged by something, changing the airflow. You can poke them out with a pin or something. Also if you get gunk down around the battery post, this can block those holes.

All batteries will die at some point, but will usually begin to fade before they completely die. This can start to occur after 100-200 charges, although they are all rated for 300 charges. Some will last a lot longer, so you never know. There are a lot of threads on here about how to prolong the life of batteries.

The Triton tank is essentially a Kanger T2 (you can use any T2 replacement heads). Yeah, the juice gets darker because the sugars crystallize when heated. If it gets too thick and dark, just shake it out of your tank and refill. Some juices darken faster than others, depending on sugar content.

I would get 10-12 or so refills on a tank (again depends on juice) before I needed to rinse, flush, clean the coils.
