New and have some noob questions

Hello people!

I'm new here, and recently purchased my first e-cigarette. I purchased the Tornado Tank by Totally Wicked a couple weeks ago. Along with that, I also got a 30ml bottle of Totally Wicked e-liquid of cherry flavor, high dosage (18ml). All is fine, however, I'm almost about to run out of e-liquid :(. I've been looking on the Totally Wicked website to purchase my second bottle, however, it is very expensive (a little out of my price range and budget). I noticed some other third-party websites carry e-liquids as well. I've searched online, Google, etc, and I can't seem to find an answer. Are these third-party e-liquids compatible with my e-cig device (Tornado Tank)?

If so, I'm looking for e-liquids that will produce thick, fat vapor/smoke. Does the dosage matter with the amount of vapor that is produced? Because I'm planning on going with a low or medium dosage this time around since the high dosage gets me very lightheaded.

Any recommendations, advice or tips on which e-liquid to get?

Sorry if I'm posting in the wrong forum, btw. Thanks ahead of time though! :)

Well I have the Ego-T which is the original name of the Tank you are looking at. Nic content does not effect vapor. You would want to try a juice that is 70/30 or 60/40 pg/vg, though I have also see some people use 50/50. I actually saw a site just today in another thread about inexpensive samples, and one of them, Mt Baker, had some really good prices. It also had a *tank* juice there with the pg/vg ratio set. I would look in that thread and see the different vendors that are out there. Just be sure to go with the right pg/vg mix so you don't leak out your atty.

If you get liquids which are mainly vegetable glycerin your vapor production will be immense. All ecig liquids are interchangeable. Blue mist Vapors have good tasting e-liquids at very affordable prices that can be ordered in 100% VG. Also Alien visions juices are awesome, try the Boba's bounty and /or the Gorilla juice, you will not be disappointed.

The amount of vapor, in general, is directly related to the amount of VG versus the amount of PG.
If you buy something with a lower VG percentage, you will get less vaper.

VG is thicker, sweeter, gives more vaper, and mutes throat hit and flavor to some extent.
PG is thinner, gives less vapor, but let's more flavor and throat hit through.

I looked at the Totally Wicked website, and it does not appear to say what percentage of VG they use in their liquid.
If I was to guess, I would probably guess that they use about 20% VG or maybe 30% VG.

It would be nice if someone stumbles along this thread who knows for sure though.

I'll be sure to try out Boba's Bounty by Alien Vision next time! I just placed an order for a 30ml Malty Toffee from Backwoods Brew. Very excited! I hope I made a good choice.

Btw, what are cartomizers? What's the difference between cartomizers and the refillable tanks that I have? Because I lost one of my tanks and I'm looking to replace them. Totally Wicked seems to have very high prices for everything... Does anyone know where I can find cheaper replacement parts for the T-Tank? It seems as if the Tornado Tank is similar to many other e-cigs. Sorry for the noob questions and double post! :p

I think Backwoods Brew makes their juices fresh when you order them.

Often times a juice needs time to steep for awhile to reach it's intended flavor profile.
So don't be too disappointed if you don't like it right when you get it.

So how long would I have to wait to let it steep? Is there a certain procedure or duration that is optimum for the best flavor?

Different delivery systems:
atomizer/ atty- an element on to which 3-4 drops of juice is dripped

cartridge/ cart- a container with sponge (filled with juice) that is used with the atty- juice drips on to atty from cart and is vaporized- this prolly the system you are using and is the earliest of tank systems.

cartomizer/ carto- metal tube with stuffing and element.

carto+tank- a carto with a hole punched in it. Carto is than placed in a glass, metal or plastic tank which is filled with juice- juice saturates carto by way of hole in carto.

Clearomizer- a plastic or metal tank with a wick and element. Contains NO stuffing.

It depends on the juice.

Your best bet might be to ask in the Backwoods Brew subforum...
Backwoods Brew

Or maybe someone will come along and answer here.

Is there a certain procedure?
Generally speaking you want to keep nicotine out of the sunlight.
So I just put my juice in a drawer and let it sit there.

Some people have elaborate methods for steeping, or for trying to speed up the process.
These methods involve things like periodic shaking, removing the cap, using hot water, or certain Gregorian Chants.
