Good order! Never owned the evic myself but it seems to be a pretty standard starters mod.

My suggestions (don't have to do them all at once, but progressively to keep improving your vape quality)
- Order large amounts of e-juice and research a process known as "steeping" this way, with lots of flavors you can always try new tastes and never get bored. Once you find your all day vape, you will be in heaven!
- look into other tanks. Kanger is decent and a good place to start but is notorious for having tank issues including juice gurgling (or flooding), and stock coils that get a bad taste quickly. If you have some extra money and find yourself tired of the Protank 3, look into getting the Nautilus Mini tank. It's fairly new, very easy to use, affordable for the quality, adjustable airflow, and a delicious vape.
- Way down the road look into rebuildable tank atomizers such as the Kayfun. This is once you feel like making your own coils! Some people really never feel the need to do so, and that's fine too.
- Ideally use a Sony VTC 4 or 5 18650 battery. The quality of these batteries in my experience far surpass others.

Welcome to the forum, hiimmj01! There's lots of info here and good folks to answer anything you could ever think of asking. I was a 30 year 2 PAD smoker and I just got passed my year Vaperversary :D
I recommend plenty of extras, don't worry about saving much money starting out. Set your budget as you did your smokes for a bit.
Backups of backups and then more backups, so it's easier than stopping at the corner store.
I started at 18 mg with Candy flavors, fruit flavors, never tried tobacco flavors.
I'm on 6mg and I think I'm fine there.
All that matters is not smoking the ciggys. Good luck to ya! Have fun!

Hi new here from CentralFlorida. Have gave up a 50 year cig habit last Jan 10th by vaping. So many questions that I don't know where to start. I use an Itaste VV and a Kranger Aero Pro set up but looking at a Kranger MVP with. Nautilus Pro tank. I have admit I am a heavy vapor. And adore chocolate mint and fruit flavors.
Looking for interesting people to share my hobby with. On 0mg nicotine as of this month. I hope.

Fellow New Yorker on board! Beyond Vape has a few locations in Brooklyn & Manhattan. Checked out their juice bar & was able to try all the flavors before buying! They give a good 20% during Happy Hour! Check their sites for exact times, but I think it's Mon-Thur until 9pm! Good gear you have, now make sure you get a juice that you like!

Welcome! I think you will like the Evic Supreme and protank. However, not to scare you, but have extra batteries... this unit has a "heart beat" and mine kills batteries a lot faster than any other device I currently have. If this is your only MOD, get a total of 3 unless you will be using it on pass through a lot.... don't want to get caught without it working and pick up a pack of smokes, right. As for the Protank, I have a 2 and 3mini... You might want to look into an air control base for it from a brick store. I wasn't completely happy with the 2 and able to quit smoking until I found out about this "add on". If you need help, can always PM me, I'll help if I can.

Not sure about his battery suggestions as I just use VV twist style But I have a full size Protank 3 and a mini 3 as well as 2 mini protank 2s. The airflow control bases that turn them into Aerotanks IMO are a must. The new V2s are really nice but even the V1 I have for my full size is great. I got mine from Discountvapers.com for 4-5.50 each and have 1 for all 4 of my tanks.

Some flavors need more air mix than others I have found and you can't go wrong with total control of your vapes airmix.

I think the fine group of folks here on ECF were as much a part of helping me quit as the vape gear and juices I started with. Cravings will come, vape through them and with time they will become less frequent. While I put down cigarettes the very day I started vaping the cravings remained for months. It takes willpower and dedication too.

Welcome to ECF

Congrats on the switch! i too any really new at the whole thing, but glad i did. doc says although my lungs didn't like bad at all, after somewhere about 30 yrs. of smoking, they really look better. a marked improvement. as i said they weren’t bad, they where starting to show my age. about two months into Vaping and not smoking. he was really impressed. I do have to admit to having an ‘oral fetish” i suppose, because i have that thing in my mouth most of the time. kinda like when I was smoking my pipe.
anyway wishing you the best in  life style

Welcome! I'm a new member as well, but have spent over a month browsing the forums and have been serious about vaping for a couple of months now. Tomorrow I'll be celebrating a full week without a single smoke! It's easier than you think it is right now, don't worry. Like you, my lady friend was starting to turn the screws about my smoking... the irony is that I've all but had to recite scientific studies to her about vaping before she really felt comfortable about it. ECF certainly helped me gather up some of those resources :D

Hey-
I really like tinkering and working with my hands. always have. So I vape on regulated units, or some of the rebulidables ( kayfun close ( cat afford authentic) … point is part of the fun is the process for me.I also likr the idea of dripping. but it seams like what ever i build, and regardless of the Ohms meter, these sucker fry my tongue and throat, it the milk bottle for cool it fast session, of one of the other devices, carto w/ viniila custard. suggestion son builds would be appreciated. Warm is Ok but HOT! i also would love to find a build that works like the ‘wickless” to taste flavors. but my attempts fry me before i ever get to a taste. Crispy mouth. I like clouds. never thought about w/ Analog bitts…. but they are near! but i want flavor i can taste. Ideas? i probably should have used this for 3 separate posts :)
