New and looking for help!

I have always visited this site for help and have found my answer, til now. I have a sigelei 150, which has been working fine. Today I got the short! message and now the mod will not fire. It will read the resistance of my rda and the screen gets brighter, but it won't fire. Any ideas?

HI @MsgSupra84 and welcome to the forum. I read a little about this and a few options come to mind. Is the tank/rda shorting the coil? Is it under .1 ohms? Another option is to take the rda off, and remove the batteries to see if the mod resets.

I've read there is sometimes a connection issue with the 510 pin and a wire "inside" the mod. I don't have any info on that fix.

Is the 510 pin stuck? Is the fire button stuck?

These are the things other people are trying when they have this issue. I have a 150 but so far no issues. If I find something else I'll re post.

Another find : check the center pin on the rda to make certain it protrudes past the threaded part of the 510 connection. Some of them will screw to adjust, some you have to gently push from the inside out, it only takes a small amount.

Nothing is stuck, and I've tried my velocity rda and my Atlantis tank. Neither will fire. I did get a message one time saying "too hot!" which didn't go away until I pulled the batteries.

Ouch. I can only hope this is an issue that will be resolved when it cools down.

A few of the threads I read mentioned an issue with the internal wire connection to the 510 pin. Getting inside is above my experience.

Funny thing is, it never even got got, it couldn't even fire to get hot.

I will clean and resolder the connections today, if all fails, a local shop does repairs and I'm sure they have the parts
