Hi everybody,

I've been lurking around these forums for quite some time, and the information that these forums give me are spectacular. I've finally made an account because I have a problem that none of the b&m shops have seen or can give me insight into fixing... I lent my Sigelei 100w to a friend of mines... while they were using it, they put the batteries in the wrong way and I was told they saw a little spark and what could have been a little electrical fire inside the box that they blew out... needless to say, whenever I put batteries into the box now, it autofires immediately and won't stop... I don't even need to turn the device on... I put an atty on it to let it fire to see if the temp safety would trigger but it just kept on going so I pulled the batteries. The fire button is not stuck as I checked (it's quite clickable) and I can turn the device on and off... Anybody seen this before? I have a 150w Sigelei as well, but it would be nice to fix my 100w... Thanks!

USA. State: Inebriated.
Have you been using the batteries that your friends put in incorrectly? Also, what brand of battery were they?

Those batteries are for sure shot. Odds are, something in your board's circuitry is also destroyed (especially if they saw a little electrical fire).

Do not put batteries in the device. Contact Sigelei and let them know, from what I'm aware, it should have protection against reverse batteries (I think the device is supposed to not turn on?).

Hi Siranus and welcome to ECF!

Sorry to hear about your troubles. The 150 has reverse battery protection and a 3 month warranty. They also have a site here in the states that does repairs. Here's the link to contact them:
Inquiry and After-sales service based in USA for customers:

Hope it helps and Happy Vaping!

I have since dumped the batteries, I figured that it had at least a hard short... When I was buying the 100w box I was under the impression that it had reverse battery protection. I was surprised to find out what happened... Do you guys think Sigelei will take the box back if I opened it up? The B&M shop I brought it to thought it might be the fire button so they opened it to make sure the mechanism was ok. Otherwise I may go with the repair site. Thank you for all the information guys! You guys are quick!

The sigelei 100 and 150 definitely both have reverse battery protection, so either the box was defective or that's not what fried it. It's also true if the box has been opened up then the warranty stickers covering the screws have been removed... so technically your warranty is void, however, a well thought out email explaining the situation shouldn't be underestimated, give it a shot and see what they say. I would also consider taking it to the b&m that voided your warranty and seeing if you can get them to replace it.
