Hi Everyone!
I have been reading this forum about a week, and this is my first post. I bought an M402 a few days ago, after a guy at work said that he tried an e-cig and it rocked. I got it at a local shop. The first couple of cartridges were fine. The draw is incredibly hard (is there any way to help that?), but otherwise it seemed to do well. The next three carts were a different story. First, I get fluid in my mouth, which is a real stomach turner. Second, I only got a few (like three, literally) good drags. I ran out of carts, because I only have the ones that came in the kit. So..I bought tasty puff. Again, I have the same problems. I have read a lot on the forum, and have tried blowing out the atty. I also charge the batt regularly, so I am a bit baffled as to what the problem is.

I ordered a Sidesho a few days ago, because I wanted something with an easier drag and more vapor. This being said, I still want the option of using the m402. Does anyone have any suggestions for these problems? I would really appreciate the help. So far my vaping experience has been difficult. I really want to quit smoking. I've smoked for 20 years, and the effects on my health are noticeable to say the least. This vaping thing is appearing a little more difficult than I expected, and I'm not sure I have the fortitude to stick it out if it doesn't get easier.

Thanks in advance for any help you have to offer!

Try the straw mod method for a better drag. It's posted under the Modders forum I think under cartridge mods. It's really simple, just putting a coffee stirrer type strw into the cartridge. The cartridge holds more liquid and the hit is much better...
Have you actually seen the size of M402 carts? The straw mod is not an option IMHO.

midnighttoker what make/brand carts are they?

What's different about them.
Don't know if there's anything particularly different, but I've never had to draw hard on an EVO cart

There are at least 3 different designs for M4 series carts, some must have better airflow than others.
And do you know why I get the liguid in my mouth?
See Below
The only time I get liquid in my mouth is if I overfill my carts and or suck on it too hard.

I have to cave my face in sucking on this thing, so the fluid may be from that. If I don't pull that hard though, I don't get the batt to turn on.
That will probably be it then.

If it's hard to drag on it's probably a flooded atomizer, especially if you are seeing weak hits after only a few drags. The problem is that it's cyclical in problems if you are treating this thing like an analog.

If you drag on it like an analog (hard) then you are likely flooding the atomizer with fluid which can make it hard to draw on and produce inconsistent and low vapor. The trick is to re-learn how to inhale. Longer, slower, lighter drags will net you a better result in vapor and "lung hit" or that full lung feeling you get from an analog (once you get this trick down it's actually even better than an analog)

But first we have to fix your atty! If it's hard to draw on from the start it won't matter how you fix your inhale as you'll still have to inhale hard, so let's do this.

- Unscrew your atomizer from the battery and take the cart off so you're only holding the atomizer.

- Put the connector end into your mouth and blow through the atomizer while holding a napkin at the opposite end to catch the loose fluid that will leak out.

- Keep doing this until excess fluid stops coming out. This is referred to as "blowing out your atty" (atomizer) by some.

- Now insert the atomizer back onto the battery and activate the e-cig for 3 to 5 seconds. If it's a manual press the switch if it's an automatic put a blank cartridge on the end and take a 3 to 5 second draw. Repeat this step until you see vapor production drop off just a bit. We are trying to make sure that the wick isn't fully saturated.

- Grab a new prefilled cart or top off your current cart. Make sure that this cart is properly filled (the filling material is moist but there shouldn't be any liquid "pooled".) Insert the good cart onto your e-cig and wait 30ish seconds for liquid to wick onto the bridge of your atomizer naturally.

Now take a slow light drag. The catch with this is that you are used to dragging on it like a tobacco cigarette and will probably forget many times as you are re-training yourself to this new method. Just be sure to recognize when the issue is from your drag technique and not a low battery or over filled cart.

Thanks everyone for the help. Esdel, I ordered some ecopure rich, ry4 and some carts for the sidesho that's coming in the mail.

Glad to help out; hope you like the RY4. I see from your subsequent posts that you're starting to get it all figured out. If you're like most people here, you will LOVE vaping. In just 2 weeks, I kicked a 35-year, pack-and-a half per day habit. I far prefer vaping to smoking, and I feel sooo much better! Good luck!

I have the M401. Been on it for 2 weeks and I love the portability. My 510 will be here today and I can't wait. I vaped one this weekend that belong to a friend and it was great!

I just ordered manual batts for my M401 and I suggest you get those as most here have suggested. It prevents you having to suck so hard to make the switch cut on. I will say it is a little hard to suck with these autos but mine aren't too bad. I've only juiced my mouth once and it was because I over filled the cart. As far as the prefilled carts, they didn't seem to last very long for me either.

I believe a little patience and you'll like the M40X too. Two weeks later and mine hits very well. I'm satisfied with it and will keep it around.
