Great site. I have got some good info already just from looking. I have been smoking a pack a day for 20+ years and I am trying to stop for the umtenth time. I hope the change to vapor will help. With some research and info from others I have ordered a setup I hope will get me started. I have a Ego twist 11000 mah x 2 w/6 vision clearomizers, charger and 3 15ml bottles on the way from Mountain oak vapors. I have a feeling I will be spending more on this habit then my old one (just don't tell my wife). At this time my questions are limited until I get my setup. Any great web sites you have for good deals I will take. Any pointers for a first timer would be great. How long do the clearomizers last with a good weekly cleaning, average daily use of liquid for someone thats a pack plus a day person, how long is liquid good for and best storage, clearomizer vs tanks, how long do coils last with good cleanings, PG/VG rate info. There will be more but I should get my 5 posts out of the way and post ?'s in the right areas. Thanks for any info and feedback. Dack

Clearomizers will last quite a while, on the order of months. It's the coils which will burn out, generally anywhere from a week to a month or more depending on use and maintenance.

Most people seem to use between 2-5 ml of juice a day, but everyone is different.

Honestly, once you find what you like you can vape for pennies a day, unless you just want to try everything.

Good luck!

Hi Burntfish. Welcome to the ECF. For starters you have picked up a great setup to begin your journey into vaping. The vision clearos(a link to the specific ones you purchased would help you get better information) generally last anywhere from a few days to a few months if properly cared for. Most people generally retire the cartomizer/atty/clearomizer when one of a few things happen either lack of good performance, poor flavor(burnt flavor) or just outright failure. Most of the ce style units require cleaning periodically. The way I clean them is to empty the resivoir, rinse the coil under hot water until the wicks look clean again apply to battery and pulse power on and off until I can see the coils individually glowing. This burns off all the buildup and restores performance. This can be done many times until the coil wears out and breaks, at which time it will need to be replaced. Using this method I can usually get about 12-20 days from a single coil, and I generally use about 7ml of liquid per day.

On that note you may want to go ahead and get a few small bottles of liquid on the way. Most new vapers consume anywhere from 2-4ml of liquid per day. While you do have a fair amount of liquid on the way, you never know how you will like it until you have tried it. Finding my all day liquid was quite a task all in its own. I recommend reading some specific threads on peoples favorite flavor or vendor for good liquids. Taste is subjective and what works for me, may or may not work for you. Lots of sampling may or may not be in your future..... Liquids generally have a shelf life, without exposure to sunlight, for beyond a year.

Clearomizers generally are easier to fill than a cartomizer tank. Generally the cartomizer tanks are cheaper to service($1.50 carto versus $3 replacement head) but the clearomizers usually have a longer service life, and can be cleaned and dry burned , where a cartomizer(in or out of a tank) can not be cleaned without going through a fair amount of work to do so. If you meant tanks like the eGo-c or the eGo-t atomizer tanks then I would advise you to search "eGo-c problem" and read through the consistant string of posts pertainig to those type tanks.

If you have anything else just ask, we will try to get the info you need. Good Luck. Happy Vaping.

This is just the info I need. 2-4ml a day is different then what I was reading on the stupid general e-cig sites of 1ml a day bs. I will be getting some more liquid coming after a little research as you said.
I have 4 of these on there way and 2 of these that came with the kit.
The tanks I was asking about are like this.Mountain Oak Vapors | Purple Silver Blue Red Vivi Nova 3.5mL Colored Tank
If 2 more people post in here and I answer them I can get my 5 posts and be released into the forum to cause mass confusion and spread my ......ation among the masses.
Come on Come on almost there.

Tanks and tank cartos are not that hard to clean a little bit of hot water or vodka works great.....just soak for about a minute then blow through...repeat 2-3 times and its ready to go....I started out on a clearo ...but when I tried a tank it was a no brainer...better vape...holds more liquid per fill...and a ton easier to pull through...my advice find someone with a tank and try it....be careful you will love it

Ok. Good, Okay I cant speak for the two that are included with the kit. The 4 that you have on the way are standard "stardust" clearomizers with long wicks. They will do well on you twists. They do require tipping when the flavor begins to be less(this is a sign of little to no liquid at the coil head) as you begin to run low on liquid in the tank.

The Vivi Nova tank is a larger coil-changeable version of the clearomizer on top. Just a bit more robust. I actually have one of the vision brand Vivi Novas on my PV as we speak. I like them alot. I like their ease of filling and they are super easy to dissassemble for cleaning and service. There is a mini version of the Vivi Nova that is intended to have an appealing appearance on an eGo style battery. Like this one here Vision MINI Vivi Nova Clearomizer Tank System Its slimmer and is roughly the same diameter as the eGo battery. Where the one you have pictured is much larger in diameter.. Its all personal prefrence as to what you like and are comfortable using.

Man, go with that mini-nova, don't listen to the Nova haters.I have a metal-mini...and when you learn how to draw to suit your throat-hit need, then they are straight CRUSHERS!
I'm telling you, forget seeing how much juice you have, you can do that by looking inside and seeing if there is visible juice on the bottom cup.Very easy.My point?GET THE METAL ONE!Once you get 100% proficient with the Nova, you'll see what I mean.

It is all about personal preference and something easy for a beginner not to mention unless you know how to rewick and build the coil yourself then you have to buy a new head when that one burns out which is twice as much as a carto...not to mention my carto setup hits harder than any nova I have ever hit....but that is for me...you may like those and that's cool too we are all here to help inform nothing is better than trying it and figuring out what u like

Cartos are good. The heads are peanuts, it comes with 3 and you can buy spares for 2.95.When you buy a Nova you should get spare heads anyway.

Is that site one you like.

I prefer to continue to order from sites I have done bussiness with and have recieved good service. This is one vendor I would recommend readily. I have ordered from them numerous times with good shipping times, good pricing and great after the sale service when it was necessary.

If you are located on the west coast or center of the country there may be a different vendor that would suit you better as far as shipping times are concerned. If you are near the east coast then they would be one of the first I would recommend.
