New and Not sure where to purchase from...

Hi yas! I'm, obviously, new to the forum. I've been reading and poking around for the past two days or so. The whole e-cig thing is a completely new concept to me - hadn't heard of it before finding this forum and it looks like I've come upon the discovery at a very uneasy point in time legal/regulatory-wise which is making it difficult to figure out where it is okay to order from and where it's probably not. I see a lot of places that had rave reviews on these forums are out of stock... and places that appear to still be live and use PayPal as a form of payment I assume aren't good to use.
I've been trying to hunt down an acceptably affordable 510 kit. Anyway...
I've smoked analogs for pretty much the bulk of 20 years. For the past 10-15 of those it's been Misty Menthol Ultra lights, but my kids are up my .... about quitting, and I'd like to quit too to be honest. E-cigs sound like the perfect vehicle since my favorite part of smoking has always been the actual act of smoking and not so much the taste or anything.
Anyway, just thought I'd say hey to the forum... guess I'll get back to trying to find a kit. LOL :D Ann

I love my 510 and I got it from awesome vapor . com without all the spaces. lol This forum still won't let me post links. I think it's the way to go. He gives you the choice of tabacco flavored cartridges or menthol that come with the kit. It has a 5 pack in it. $50 for the kit. 2 batteries 1 charger 2 atomizers 5 pre-filled cartridges and 2 blank and empty carts on the atomizers that come with the kit. He also throws in a small bottle of a sample flavor e-juice of your choice so you don't have to spend money on experimenting with e-juice. so you can use your carts up then try refilling them with the free e-juice he provides. His name is Arno and you can search around (and watch my reviews and unboxing of his kit on youtube my account is called eskimovaper). I've only heard 100% positive things about him. That's who I trusted with my $50 and he made it go as far as $50 can! He won't let you down man. I hope I helped!!!

OH and PS mine came with a green LED but I think you can get a blue one too. Not sure on this. I think he wants you to specify which one you want, but I didn't and he sent me a green one. Which is pretty trick and I like it.

That's from my post in the thread called "510 vs smokeing everywhere" thread in the electronic cigarette reviews section. I'd post a link, but the forum won't let me

Welcome to the forums, Ann. Yes, there is quite a stir about the use of e-cigs at this time. I'm not too worried over it myself, I don't see a ban permanent if it were to happen, but what do I know?

The two vendors that have gotten most and will continue to get most, if not all, of my purchases are Rocky Mountain Vapor you have reached the mountain top of electronic cigarettes! and Vapor Kings - DSE801, RN4072, DSE901 and RN4075 e-Cigarette supplies

I focused a lot of it on prices and location. They just happen to have great customer service on top of that for me.

It's overwhelming at first, but you seem to have your mind set on what you want. So at this point all you need is a reliable vendor you like, and the need to jump in. I don't like saying it's all personal preference on what is the best for you, but you really won't know what you like till you try it. And you can really fix anything that doesn't suite you without making another model purchase.

hey Annie, just wanted to welcome you to the forum as a fellow newb... And i'd like to tell you my experience so far. I was smoking about a half pack or more a day for 3 years... which may not be that long, but it felt long because for most of that time i was "trying to quit." When i first heard of ecigs i thought it was a rediculous concept, and didn't think it would catch on at all, nor work for me. But then i ran into someone i knew with a blu pack, and said it was working for him so i decided to try it out.

So i ordered a starter pack from blu and am pleased with how easily e cigs have enabled me to quit smoking analogs (actual cigs). I'm not particularly pleased with the Blu company overall because they're shipping time is pretty awful, there throat hit is ok, and the vapor production is unimpressive to say the least. But its working, and its been a good introduction to e cigs. I can't hate on BLU because although their product is inferior, their marketing mix is one of the best, and will hopefully help bring the e cig concept out of a small niche market and make it more popular.

I'm investing in a few other products, an 801, and a 510. I'm ordering the 510 from innovapor, and we'll see how that goes.

i look at it like this, if i could spend $30 dollar a week on products i literally burned, then i don't mind INVESTING a few hundred in products that i can enjoy continuously. Especially if that product keeps my lungs from turning black, and leads me to eventually die a suffocating death.

best of luck to you, don't be discouraged by the annoying search, a few hours of research may save your life in the long run...

24 days 18 hours, 118 dollars saved, 295 cancer sticks avoided.
