Hi everyone,

Another noob and I have been looking for a way to get off analogs for a while now. I was introduced to ecigs by my boss, She has an ego-t that i fell in love with. I found this website by accident googling ecigs looking for more info. I have been reading like crazy for a few days now. I know I will have a million questions.

I ordered my starter kit and can't wait for the package to arrive. Its been stuck in the Postal Service nightmare for the last 24 hours. I am so impatient..lol

September 26 is freedom day for me!! Woohoo!!

I've been waiting on some batteries and a charger that I paid for August 31 !!
I think I saved about $.50 and ordered from a small factory on the outskirts of China
On the other hand, I've had nothing but great luck with all the suppliers I've ordered from on this board.

Welcome to ECF. vaping definately beats analogs. Started with KR808D-1's myself, received my kit yesterday, and now almost 34 hours with no tobacco. Not even any cravings really.

My best advice is to get a lot of flavors to try out. Start with little sample size bottles if possible (3-10ml) until you find some that you like and then order the larger quantities to stock up on those. Also, order higher mg nicotine than you think you will need. My starter kit came with 18mg but that wasn't quite enough for me, I still had some analog cravings. Luckily I'd already received some samples from other juice vendors at 24mg and those are working out great. If the stronger juice is too strong, you can always dilute it with a little distilled water (doesn't take much). Better to be too strong than too weak.

Stick with it and keep everyone posted.

...postal service nightmares are pretty common...unfortunately...the only cure is to have Spares for all your gear, sPares for your juice and most importantly SPARES for your spAres...errr, did I say to get spaRe sparEs...OK, you get the message so getcha some spareS

Welcome! Been on an 808d system for nearly a year. In all honesty, it's not the same. But in the long run, its a good choice! I cheated a lot in those first few months, but It's worth it! It's one of the few ways mankind can gve cancer the middle finger! BEAT YA!

My best advice would just to get hyped up about it! Better tastes, no smells, and you will be able to breathe/smell again! Just stick with it and good luck!

Can I ask what kit you ended up with? I wished I had found ECF before I started placing my orders. I think it would have saved me a lot of money.

Does adding distilled water have any negative effect on the amount of vapor and flavor? I recall reading some posts about adding vg or pg instead of water to help dilute the nicotine without losing the amount of vapor.

I've been smoking for 26 years and what blew me away was how easy it was for me to stop analogs once I had my first vape. I was roughly a pack a day and I've never attempted to quit.

The biggest problem I'm having with ecigs right now is finding the right flavor (and nic level, and pg/vg level). So many combinations.. and then there's the different voltage! I still get overwhelmed at times when I look at volts, ohms, resistance, but every day I learn something new from reading the forums on ECF or watching reviews on youtube. I don't know about anyone else but I constantly feel like i'm getting information overload.

I love the flavors that I've tried so far.. but they are all too sweet to be my 'all day' vape. Vanilla, Caramel, Ry4.. these are great but I think I'd go into sugar shock if I had vaped any one of those flavors for a full day. I'm still looking for that very mild, unsweetened flavor that I can vape all day long.

I haven't tried it personally yet, just seen it recommended. If you have nic free VG or PG on hand those might be better, not sure on the vapor production of distilled water. I'll have to try that out on it's own this weekend and see what happens. I would think any of the 3 would dilute the flavor a bit, but if it's too strong or harsh to start with that can also be a good thing.

My package is here!!! That was fast!! Vicky and the ladies at Cignot rock just like ya'll said. I ordered on Thursday morning and wasn't looking for it to be here on Saturday. USPS said Monday, I didn't doubt the timeframe since I used to work for the post office. I got home from work and there it was. My shiny new babies. Analogs and ashtrays kicked to the curb, goodbye!!! Lighters can hang around for candle burning.

Thank you all for the warm welcome and the great advice. Next order will be for juices and spares. I am going to try and get dh hooked too. Maybe this will be the thing that gets him off 2-3 packs a day. Like he said its not the analog he wants, just the nic and something to do with his hands till he can break the analog habit.

jp6608, I ordered the Joyetech eGo-T (Tank B) kit from Cignot. It comes with a choice of batts and attys. I got two manual 1000 mAh batts and the LR tank B attys. I also ordered the eGo Passthru with a manual 650 mAh battery for when I am at my puter. I got extra prefilled tanks and seals. I only ordered one extra bottle of 26 mg nic Marlboro juice for now. I am still trying to figure out which juices I want to try so that will be my next order tomorrow. I also need to get a PCC but I am still confused on which one will work with my bigger batts.

Grats on your shipments Schalyndra!
I've read that when it comes to usb pass-through devices, it's recommended that you do NOT use them on your computer's USB port. Might be worth investing a few bucks in some kind of powered usb hub or one of those usb charger that connects to any wall socket.
