Hi all,

This is my first post. I'm brand new to vaping and went a little crazy buying supplies for it. Unlike most of you, I am NOT a smoker. I got into vaping because I enjoy smoking hookah a couple nights a week, but didn't want to smoke inside because I didn't want the odor to stick to anything. As the months got colder, the prospect of something like hookah that didn't permanently affect the house or possibly give me cancer appealed to me greatly. So I tip my hat to all of you who actually have used vaping to kick the habit.

So far, my primary kit is an Innokin iTaste VV with the tanks, as well as a ton of the little cube adapters. I started off on a little 808 pen, but this is my primary vape now. I also have a 900mAh generic eGo VV and an eGo mini 400mAh. I've tried tons of different cartos and clearos, and am currently using the 2.0ohm 3.5ml DCT cartos and the 2.4ohm rebuildable Vision CE5s. I also use the Phoenix CE3s, but they're a pain in the .... to refill and retain the previous flavor no matter what. My main questions regard thickness of vapor and keeping my battery safe. Right now, I vape the DCT 2.0Ohms at 3.7-3.9v with 50/50 ejuice and get moderate vapor, but it likes to heat up. It kills my iTaste battery within an hour or two (800mAh). Am I damaging my battery and should I be vaping even lower?? Also, the CE5s (2.4ohm) vape much cooler and much thicker than the DCTs. Is this to be expected? Also, how long should I let juice sit idle in a carto/clearo before I should consider it stale and clean and refill it? Thanks, and sorry for the brain dump. I just want to know right off the bat if I'm doing something wrong. Cheers!

I leave juices in my clearos for a month or so no worries, but a carto is a different story, unless it is in a tank, then I would not worry about it going stale

As far as your 2.0 ohm dct. I would try dropping to 1.6 ohms
And 2.4 CE5 is going to be cooler but get more vapor than a carto cause the coil is at the top of the clearo, the vapor is not going through the filler, if you get what I mean

Welcome to ECF! I have the Innokin iTaste vv also. I like it with the iClearos, but not so much with my DCT. When I tried the DCT, I was at 3.6-3.7. It didn't kill the battery, but it wasn't a very good vape either. I'm waiting on a Vamo and an MVP and hope I like the DCT better with those. The iTaste with an iClearo works well for me and is a nice size to carry when I'm away from home.

I've left e-liquid in clearos for 2-3 weeks without a problem.

Good luck on your vaping journey! :)
