So I just registered here to ask this question. I bought a starter kit few weeks ago that came with an Ego-T battery and a tank/atomizer (loads from the atomizer side, doesn't have the big ... whick in there, metal with a small glass window) and it's worked great.
so I bought a new tank at the headshop I bought the ecig starter pack at, it was one of the more expensive tanks, an Aspire BDC. I primed it like the guy told me to and got it working, but it keeps interminently not working. outta nowhere, it'll stop producing any vapor.
my original tank still works fine, so the battery is obviously fine. I thought maybe the wick inside the atomizer is drying out, BUT, i have my girlfriends old ecig (its got a similar battery to the ego-t I have, but it's a shorter battery, works just the same though) and if I hook that battery up to my aspire tank that isn't working, the tank suddenly works. sometimes, the amount of vapor produced is less than normal, but it still works.
Eventually, I can get the aspire tank working with my normal battery, the atomizer makes a kind of pop sound and then it starts working fine with my ego-t battery. If I hook it up to my gf's old battery, it will now be blowing huge amounts of vapor again (when my ego-t battery doesn't work with it, my gfs battery produces vapor but smaller amounts)
WHAT in the hell is going on? Is the ego-t battery the wrong type to use with this tank? The guy at the headshop seemed pretty knowledgable and suggested I get the aspire tank, told me how to prime it and whatnot, knows what type of e-cig im using. I like the aspire tank a lot more than my normal tank, but if this keeps happening it's useless.
Any help would be appreciated. I've tried browsing the forum and googling but have not had any luck finding any problems exactly simialr to mine.
While I was typing this post out, I noticed that when the tank stops working with my ego-t battery, if i kinda tap the battery against the desk it will suddnely stop working. its almost like its not properly contacting the battery or something, but the batteries are both like exactly the same threading/design. the battery that does work is just not as long as my ego-t battery.
