I can't find a good place to ask this question, so I landed here. Sorry to resurrect this.

Slightly embarrassing, but I accidentally fired my mod as a was pinching my coils with NON ceramic coils. It was very quick, nothing happened, I just wanted to make sure I didn't compromise the safety of my battery. So what exactly happened when I did this? It was on a Hana V3 with A magma.

Probably nothing... You didn't mention how long you kept pushing the button though. Since it sounds like you were using metal tweezers you probably just syphoned off the power through the tweezers themselves, otherwise you would have seen a bunch of flashy flash and your coil would have been toast. As for the battery put a coil on it and see what it does. Test it in a charger if you have a good charger with a testing circuit in it.

That's pretty much the conclusion I came to as well, just wanted a second opinion. It was very quick button push, less than 1 second, but it did happen I'm sure of it. I ditched the coil, tested my battery in a basic intellicharger i2 and in mod, then checked voltages with a multimeter, nothing SEEMS to be wrong with it. I can't really think of any way that I damaged the battery, but I was a little paranoid for a second. It was a VTC5 if that matters, so at least it was not some cheap "fire" battery!
