I have been smoking for 40 years. It would be more but I quit for 10 years one time. Due to coughing half the night I've decided to give vaping a try. I started out with a disposable. That went fairly well but it tasted like plastic. I had to shop all over town to find that but apparently convenient stores have them. I was on a road trip & I stopped in a tobacco super store in Arkansas & got a NicStick kit. I liked that a lot, much better than the disposable. I went on to MO and tried to find another kit but no NicStick to be found. I got a Joy kit from Walmart & it had the same plastic taste as the disposable one did. On my way home I stopped where I got the NicStick & got another kit. Right now I'm sort of disorganized keeping track of what's charged & which NicStick cartridge is filled but I'm getting there. I got a bottle of nectar but it's just regular. Haven't tried any flavors yet but maybe could lean towards a cherry or cinnamon. We shall see how this goes...

i have been on ecf a year and im still learning. there are a ton of places online to get juice. read through the threads here and watch out for ones like "whats your favorite juice" or "what are you vaping right now" to learn about some vendors. don't necessarily listen to reviews though, make up your own mind about that.

Welcome to ECF! I'm glad you found this place.

There is indeed a lot of information and acronyms and jargon, and it can seem very confusing at first. From recent first-hand experience, I can tell you that you will pick it up faster than you think, and that there are a lot of knowledgeable, helpful people here. Ask if you have questions!

I'm from Canada, so not terribly familiar with what's available at brick and mortar stores down there, but from what I've heard others say, you will find a much better (and likely cheaper) vaping experience by shopping online. If you find that the NicSticks aren't working for you, you might want to browse around somewhere like Smokeless Image or Hoosier E-cig (never used either of them, but I've heard them spoken of well. Someone more knowledgeable about US vendors will likely chime in).

And there are a ton of flavours! I can't believe I was ever satisfied smoking the same flavour, same brand for so many years.

Good luck to you!

Welcome! Congrats! Agree that this is all pretty confusing, but most people here love to help, just let them know when it's getting over your head and they will explain in a beginner's terms or someone else will. The charging thing was awful for me until I got an ego kit and could keep one going for long periods of time and always have another ready to go. That's what people refer to as a fat battery style. I also found it simpler to switch to cartomizers (the combined atomizer and cartridge) so I didn't have to refill as often. Once you get to a point that you can vape a while without worry, the reading gets easier because you have your biggest problem solved- nic fix!

There are a million choices and everyone moves at they're own speed. That's how it should be. Ask for help whenever you need it. Move to mods whenever or never- but I'm glad you're here!!!
