Hi,
This is my first post, but I've been reading the forums for about a week. I'm really impressed by how the forum is so helpful and inviting.

I've been trying to quit my analog addiction for a while now, but being a full time uni-student that uses analogs as a 'study buddy' makes it so difficult.

I received my shiny new eGo from Totally-wicked in the mail today after the longest 7 days of my life. It produces a good amount of vapour and the battery lasts long (been using it all day straight out the box).

However, I was getting a weird taste and burn at first, which i think was the atty primer. But afterwards, i have not noticed a great deal in improvement of the taste or feel. I'm using the pre-filled carts that came with it because i ordered my e-liquid from strictlyejuice and i'm to expect it much later.

It all seems to taste like a smoke machine at a high school dance, which isn't entirely appealing and its been making me crave a rollie all day.

My question is : Will it always taste like this to me or am i doing something wrong?

thanks in advance :)

Some of these PV need a 'running in' time but it migh tbe that your atty bridge is a little dry. A dry bridge is an atty killer - can you get hold of some food grade PG or VG to drip on it? Pharmacy/chemist might sell it. Otherwise try and squeeze some juice from a 'used cart' (they never drain compeltely, theres always a couple of drops in the filler) into a cup or something and use a toothpick (unless you own a dripper/eye dropper type device) to dribble a couple of drops onto the bridge itself.
If you get the plain PG or VG then yo will need to primer puff on it as it tastes..odd..on its own. Don't inhale it (its safe but jsut pointless lol). If its juice you're good to go but might want to primer puff anyway.
It also might be the juice in the cart is just a horrid taste :) In that case you'll a bit stuck til you get your shipment.
Anyway try and get the atty bridge a bit wetter and see if it helps at all.

thanks for the replies guys.

i think my atty's have been broken in now as the taste has gotten better. I tried what capt said and it worked great, although i think the glycerine i used was too thick. it was the only one i could find at the supermarket, as the chemists around my way don't usually stock them and there is some issue with ordering them too.

I got my 510 and some blue foam from ecigz.com.au today. The blue foam is also making a pretty good difference with the taste as well, im not getting any smoke machine flavour off my eGo anymore. but it seems my 510 isn't vaping as great even though the carts and attys are the same.

overall, i'm starting to like vaping even more, but i dont think i've got enough cartridges left to last me the weekend. i'm probably going to give into temptation and have my rollie soon.

i regret not ordering e-liquid with my eGo. Anyone new reading this and about to make their first ecig purchase. don't just buy a starter a kit on its own, get some e-liquid and some extra parts if you can afford it. it'll save you trouble, waiting and shipping fees in the long run. especially if you're like me and it'll take 7+ days to get to your door and e-liquid (/w nic) isn't available in your country.
