The morning of day two. Everything started out normal. Then the heating unit in my eGo-c burnt out. Hmmmm. What is this all about? For what I had to pay for my first e-cig. The heater should last longer than 12 hours. Perhaps that is why they have five heater units in the kit. What I see here is functional obsolescence. What is that you ask? It is when a manufacturer designs a product to fail after a predetermined time. So they can sell more units. As an example, If a manufacturer used tungsten wire in their heater coil rather than a poorer grade wire. He would sell far fewer units. Could that be happening here? I need some feed back from you eGo-C owners.
Yes maybe I am reading too much into what has happened so far. But here is my point. I started vapeing so I could get off a 44 year ride on cigs. Now I have to be worried that maybe I only have 33 hours left worth of heaters before I can no longer vape. To most of you this problem is not a big deal. You can just run down to your local e-cig shop and pick up supplies. In my case I live in Thailand and most supplies are through the mail. After spending many many hours reading this forum. I have to admit I have not read any post .....ing about the eGo-C heater dying too soon. So maybe I just got a bad coil, That could be. I will let you know what happens in my next couple of post.
To you Pro Rebuilders out there. I seem to remember reading that light bulbs throughout history have used tungsten for their heating filament. I am sure this is not a new idea I have come up with in regards to E-cig. If any of you Pro's have looked into this or are using Tungsten on your rebuilt coils. I sure would like to hear from you.
