Hey everyone

so I just picked up my first box mod (sigelei 100w) to get into the enjoyment and relaxation of building and dripping and I was just wondering what kind of maintenance is needed as in is it alright to leave it in stand by if I'm putting it down for more than a few minutes or should I shut it off and is it all right to leave the batteries in when I'm not using it or should I remove them for safe keeping? I guess really how do you guys store your vape gear from batteries to tanks?

Yes it's all right to leave it in standby and to leave the batteries in.

Taking the batteries out when not in use and storing them in storage containers would certainly be extra safe, but not something most people do.

I don't turn my box off unless I have a good amount of battery left and can vape the next day on it, which is usually overnight. I do keep my box standing upright when not in use but that's for wicking purpose on the Aspire Atlantis and rda is a Little Boy which has a tendency to leak. If you won't be using the mod for awhile like a few days I would take the batteries out.

For extended periods of time I suggest taking the batteries out and storing them in a safe container.

If you're just going to bed at night or whatever, I don't know if that's necessary (I personally don't take 'em out in case I need to leave the house in a rush when I wake up).

I use an OKL-T20 box, which has no "off" as long as there's batteries in it, but on my IPV I generally don't turn it off ever. The only time it's off/has to be turned on is when I swap batteries.
