Hello everyone I am interested in buy a new box mod looking for something in the higher wattage realm (50w to 150W) not sure what the best one to go with is I have been looking at the sigelei 100w but I didn't know if that would be the best option for me or not. if you guys could help a brother out with some good options that would be great.:vapor:

It depends how much wattage you really need . I have an istick 50 and I haven't even pushed it over 35 watts . I suppose if you want room to expand a higher wattage box may be worth the price . Ft has the smok m80 for like 60 bucks . It has a wonky temp control feature that has been called fake but even without using this feature it's still a good price for a 80 watt box . Istick is a great 50 watt if you are looking in that range , the battery lasts forever . I've went three days without needing a charge vaping at 25 watts

Two of the best (not cheapest), but great box mods are the IPV3 (165watts), or the Sigelei150 (150watt). I have both and actually prefer the Sigelei over the IPV3. The IPV uses screws to get to the batteries to recharge, but the Seg uses magnets and comes with a protective silicone sleeve case.

I use Kanger Subtanks and Joytech Delta 2's and never get abouve 40 watts, which makes battery life stellar...maybe three days before I charge. You can get them for around 90 to 100 bucks.

I'm not at all saying you can't put dripper on them, you absolutely can. I just don't use my drippers to much any more except at home on my custom boxes,

that's another term that throws you for a loop regulated/unregulated are we just talking in terms of safety of does it really make that much of a difference I mean I don't think of my self as a noob I have a generally well versed in the art of building and wicking but there is a lot of stuff out there that just makes me feel lost

Unregulated means battery straight to the coil, no electronics

Regulated means the electronics read the coil resistance and adjust voltage/wattage accordingly. But will also protect you and your battery from low voltages, reverse polarities and such. And last but not least....gives you the ability to have a wide range of RBA/RDA choices. And do to it controlling the voltage no matter what you battery level is, you get a consistent vape from start to finish.

Again, most of my vape buddies have gone this route and their unregulated (tube mods) are collecting dust now. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that tube mods and other non-regulated devices are gone and "old school", they are still very popular and are the only device allowed in vape compititions as far as I know.

I've got the sigelei 150w in red coming tomorrow afternoon!!!! Plan to top it with a black plume veil I have collecting dust. ((Mech mods, heh! nah im good on that.. I get the appeal but nah.)) Honestly when I was looking at what box to get next I was thinking that somewhere between 60w-100w would be all I need. Then I began to consider battery life and the couple of rda's have wasting space, plus it was right within my budget considering that the 100plus and a few other box mods were just 10 less (if not same price). really though the best way to go in most cases is look at what you want and buy what you need. A few options to switch things up keeps it fresh but no need to empty your pockets. lol my hope is that I wont ever need another setup after this... If I have to replace the chip or screen later on and do some soldering then so be it.
:toast: best wishes :toast:

yeah I know that is why it is tuff there are a lot of mods out there some a reasonable as far as price is concerned but some are crazy that's the one thing about online shopping is that I feel like a kid in a candy store I look for what I want then I see 1000 other things a long the way and I want them all. :p

I have experience with both the Sigelei 150 and the IPV3. I no longer own the Sigelei because I found I like the IPV3 better. Yes you do have to take two screws out to get to the batteries, however the features you get with the software upgrade makes that point moot. A better ohm readout, lower ohm capability and 15 extra watts makes it a stellar performer in my opinion. Top it off with the nice BB style buttons (that don't rattle) and it's a winner in my book. Of course it's all personal preference.
