Hey everyone!

After some time researching and checking various reviews out I decided to go ahead and make my first e-cig purchase.

Since i've heard so many problems with canadian customs rejecting this stuff from the US I was thankful when I found this website and all it's canadian retailers.

I hooked up with Jack from HappyVaper.com who happens to live right near me and picked up the Happy eGo starter kit, with a couple liquids to try. Cherry and Virginia tobacco flavor. Fantastic guy, he met up with me the same day I contacted him and explained the way everything works and how to use it /take care of it. He also helped me set it up on the spot to test it out.

Love this thing. lol

So this is my first post, looking forward to getting to know more of the community.

This is also a shout out to Jack from HappyVaper.com - Awesome guy to deal with and would HIGHLY recommend him to anyone looking for a good honest source!

That's about it for now!

Peace!

Hey inkedcanadian,

You're paying a lot of scratch for your equipment and not getting a nic-kick is a bummer. I didn't have any probs with my American orders but the paraphernalia was poor issue and expensive (US$30 + exchange + shipping) for one ecig (atti and batti); and the liquid was expensive and never the right strength.

Then I ordered from China, bestecig.com and my first order was held up by customs but my order was sent again to another address (no extra cost) and that I got. In comparison, one ecig ended up being about US$17, total. All other orders from China have come without a hitch. I don't mind the two week wait.

It's a learning curve for sure. The original US seller was helpful but of course it was his paraphernalia that he touted and the attis and batteries didn't last long. It cost me about US$300 for 4 months (I used to spend that in a month so I wasn't so disappointed) while it has cost me about the same for 6 months for my China order and I can probably squeeze another month out of that order. I have spent another $300 (I like back-ups of para and liquid) and with a special coming at the end of this beebuzzing soccer WC I shall be ordering more some of which I shall try selling to help cover my eliquid costs.

I have tried 5 different ecigs and I could not have afforded that experience had I had to pay the inflated prices I would have paid ordering from Canada or the US.

Note: A month ago I went 3 days without vaping as a trial. I had no probs with nicotine withdrawal or lack of the fidget factor. But what the hey, nicotine is good for you - it's found in nightshade vegetables but it's a bugger keeping a tomato lit.

Check out the following UofA URL on TobaccoHarmRediction. It's a great read.

-sorry, I cant post link til I hit the magic 15. I have to wreck havoc with 2 more posts but you should be able to find it with a google.

Cheers & good vaping,
mhikl

Welcome inked, we are a crazy bunch around here.

You have gotten a great device to begin your vaping journey and a great price. You will probably want to get yourself some liquid that contains nicotine in the beginning, even if you are vaping (like I) to eventually quit.

Wrt to mhiki's opinion, well it is Sunday let's just say it is his/her opinion :) but a little sphincter asphixiation is taken place IMHO.

I'll be there this fall, maybe.

It was not meant to be back in May. It simply wasn't. I am not a religious man but 2 days in a row = wasn't meant to be. I don't know the reasoning behind it, nor do I care. I was debating what to to with the Volks, several options did not pan out. Sooooo, I decided to bite the bullet and take it to the dealer (this past Wednesday), my appointment was on Thurs at 7:30am. Up to this point I had been driving it in "limp mode", CEL was on etc.. When mother and I were taking it to the dealer, there was no light (first time since turning around) and low and behold, the turbo was working. Needless to say, I cancelled my appointment and have had no problem since. We stopped in a parking lot and low and behold the whining sound of a turbo :) Anyway, on the way home I did my darndest to make that puppy go into limp mode. It wouldn't go and hasn't since.

For those wondering what limp mode is, hit the Volkswagon forum. I plan on doing a hwy trial with her next week and see if it is indeed in the past. With school ending this Fri, my window is gone for the summer :(
