Where is the coil located? What is the purpose of designing an upside down carto, i.e. how will it function better than the current design?

I don't see it working as designed. The 510 connection of the battery is not in contact with the carto connector -- how is the atomizer coil going to get power? With so many holes in the carto all along the shaft, how do you keep negative pressure in the tank? What is going to keep juice from entering the top (now the bottom) of the cartomizer?
I don't see the point or the rationale for this design. Explain. You seem to have taken a previously simple design which "works" and made it unecessarily complicated.

I think powering the connection on the carto is going to more of a headache than its worth. The more connections you add to any PV the more chances of failure and voltage drop. I am not trying to discourage you by any means...just trying to see what your trying to improve on.
