Cant find my way at all...and when I can,closed/trade/sales are all mixed up in no particular order.

Almost look like somebody wants us to stay away!

My wallet thanks you,my hoarding addiction does not.

Bring back the old classifieds!

Not sure why you think it's more mixed up now than before. Not only did the old classifieds have "closed/trade/sales" but it also had wants. Closed threads are moved periodically through the day at no specific interval. We separated the wanted and sale/trade due to the similarity of the transaction. Sure their could be even more separation but we didn't want 10 different sub-forums.

I appreciate all the work that's gone into reproducing the classys. And I like that it is somewhat safer but I don't like the lay out. I'd love to see the format of the of the classy changed back to the original but keep the safety rules in place.

The reason for the new format and the use of the form is due to lack of adherence to requirements of a classified ad. Members were leaving pertinent information out of their post either through forgetfulness or not reading and understanding the rules. Now with the form everything is uniform and you know exactly where to look for important information. What people don't understand is we had to go behind all these incorrect post and either have them member correct the error, close the thread and have them repost, or repair them ourselves. Think about the time consumed handling these issues, when they could be avoided if the member would have just followed the rules. That's not even mentioning the process we have to follow on the reports sent on the erred threads, documenting everything we did to resolve the report.

So yeah, you may not like the forms or the new format but it serves a purpose. That purpose is that the information that's needed for a proper ad is now required and reduces not only our workload but also provides most all information needed to the reader.

So in conclusion, the old classifieds are gone forever and will never be brought back.

The ads are only mixed if you search by the "what's new" button which is just one method of accessing the classifieds. Everything is laid out as FS/FT, Wanted or Closed/Sold if you go through the main forum for buying and selling.

+1 on this. Using "What's New" to go to classifieds if the least efficient way to do it as it can take you to threads already closed and moved. Create a bookmark for the classifieds or use the quick navigation dropdown within ECF.

i'm indifferent. I am new to ECF and still have times where I am not even sure what I am looking for. So when i peruse through the classifs I find that I am just looking at random things. When I look into one that seems interesting all the necessary info and pictures are exactly where I would expect them to be. easy to find.

This was exactly what our goal was, uniformity. Once you are used to it, you know exactly where to look for that important information.

I know Tapatalk sucks when viewing the Classifieds and I hate that. Partly because I bought Tapatalk and wished now they supported their product better. Unfortunately they do not.

Don't use 'What's New' to find the Classies. It's about the worst possible way.

Try this: make sure the page is selected (live) in the browser (just click somewhere on the page) and that you have all the front page forum sections expanded (some people collapse all the main sections to keep the page very short) >> type a slash / >> type classif >> hit the 'Find Next' button until you land on the Classifieds.

Or, type Cntrl+F (hit the Control key and the F key at the same time) >> type classif >> hit the 'Find Next' button until you land on the Classifieds.

Those are two keyboard ways to land on the classies. Don't use What's New as it will land you in a maze.
