New coil builder confused.

Well I would go for 1.8 ohm build for an ego. Number of wraps would depend on your mold and wire used. Do you have an ohm meter to check your build with? To low of build and you can easily burn out your ego.
If you have an android phone which it looks like you do. Go to the play store and download vapers toolbox. Nifty little app for coil building. And get a multimeter so you can check for shorts. I use micro coils on my igo l. For all my apv I shoot for 1.5-1.8 ohms depending on which gauge wire and which battery I attach it to.

Just search "vape" in the App Store. Some nifty apps there. Vapor Resource is a nice little ohm calculator, it'll definitely come in handy for building coils!

Definitely get yourself a digital multimeter Chris and stay above 1.5 ohms minimum. 1.8 is better. There's some good advice on the Igo F at Kidney Puncher here in the "what you need to know" section. Also search for reviews online. I take it you're going to try it as a dripper? Super_X_drifter has a great video tutorial on building micro coils here, just leave the ends of the wick longer than he does because you're not using a bottom feeder.

Thanks guys. I have a digital multimeter for mechanic purposes. How would I use that to check resistance on a coil? Sorry I would look it up but Idk how to navigate this website yet.

Connect the red wire to the center post on the bottom. And the negative to the threads

12-13 wraps 28GA A-1 Kanthal, 3/32" bit diameter. Nice and tight wraps, placed close together, as in touching but not overlapping You'll hit 1.5Ω everytime
Well... 1.4 to 1.6Ω haha. Mine come out to 1.5Ω though.

If you feel like it, try the same setup but on a 1/16" bit. I find it works better that way.

Wow thank you guys so much just built my first micro coil on an Igo F. Not huge clouds but the best I've gotten from the ego.

Check out YouTube for videos.... It's easier to watch and do it along with the author of the video.
I haven't built any coils myself yet, but after watching GrimmGreen I would feel comfortable doing so. The upclose camera shots makes it a sinch to understand. Definitely check some of his stuff out to get a better grasp on what you are doing.
I've been watching YouTube videos for a while now and my problem was the fact that I didn't have a torch. Now it's easy.
