I have only showed this pic to three people and I decided I wanted to get everyone's thoughts on how it looks... this is a photo shop of another members GGTS on this forum. I'm looking to do this as soon as I can get a hold of an extra GGTS as I want to keep my SS GGTS the way it is. In the end the red will be a little darker and I will probably add red to 2 other spots.

What about taking the least complicated pieces to manufacture: mouthpiece, telescope tube, and maybe the end cap and make them in a variety of colors. Anodized aluminum comes to mind.

The suppliers could stock them as accessories so folks could mix and match to customize their standard GGTS.

Just a thought.....

I cant anodise GG first and then to put it on machines. The anodising will leave. But even if it doesnt leave on machines it will leave when I will polish it buddy. But make your try and if you are very careful you will do it.:)
I'm going to attempt to tape it off when I do it, wish me luck. Imeo if you ever wanted to do something like this would it be possible to do it prior to making the threads?

If you powder coat it, you should be able to mask off the threads. If you do it yourself, don't use your home oven to cure the powder coating, your wife will hate you, and you will have to throw away your oven. Just so you know! I know several artisan toolmakers who powder coat small parts in toaster ovens, but you need a digital thermometer with a probe, don't trust any oven/toaster oven thermostat. Do it outside and not inside your house either unless you want your house to smell like melted plastic. I'm looking forward to seeing how this turns out!
